MAKE I DROP SMALL STORY FOR UNA
Someone saw the first photo and sent it to me, asking if I was the one. I smiled and said yes — that was me back in December 2024.
If I tell you what I went through during that 2-week class, you go pity me.
My newest addition, who was just 7 months old at the time and had always been very healthy, suddenly fell sick. Of all times, it had to be during that training. My attention was completely divided throughout. She kept crying nonstop and refused to stay with my sister. I ended up backing her all through the first day of class. She wasn’t eating, and would throw up anything she swallowed.
I honestly didn’t know whether to cry or just give up. I had been looking forward to that class for so long. I was frustrated. The other bakers who came to learn kept encouraging me — God bless them.
But it was clear I was distracted. She was even disturbing the class. I tried managing it for two days, but it wasn’t working. I eventually had to leave her at home and started calling every hour to check on her because she still wasn’t eating.
Before leaving home, I would feed her myself to be sure atleast something has entered her stomach whole i allow my sister feed her the formula in my absence because she doesnt take any other food from her.
Normally, she’d finish 200ml in minutes and still ask for more after 2 hours. But during that period, she couldn’t even finish 200ml in 6 hours. She lost so much weight, I almost didn’t recognize my own baby.
I even missed a full day in a class that was just two weeks long because I had to take her to the hospital.
Each day, I got home around 8 or 9pm, slept by midnight, and was up again by 4:30 or 5am. It was a very tough two weeks.
If I tell you I was 100% mentally and physically present in that class, I’d be lying. But in all, I’m grateful. Despite everything, my project was one of the best. I could explain what was taught to some of my baker friends.
God really saw me through. And since then, my little madam — my small aunty, as I call her — has never been that sick again.
