My wife was given a blood transfusion while she was in labour, and it was done without my permission. My religion strictly forbids blood transfusion, and my wife knows this belief very well.
I feel deeply hurt and disrespected because, to me, she went against my faith. Even though our baby is now two months old, this issue still troubles my heart. Anytime I look at the child, my mind goes back to the blood transfusion. Because of that pain, I find it very hard to even carry my own baby.
This situation has caused serious damage to our marriage. I no longer feel the peace or desire to continue the relationship the way things are. My wife has been begging me to forgive her, and she keeps apologizing. But for the sake of our child, I am confused and do not know what decision to take.
I am torn between my faith, my hurt, and my responsibility as a husband and a father.
