I once dated a lady who told me I wasn’t among her priorities. I thought she was joking, until her actions kept proving it.

I had to beg for her time and attention.
It felt like I only mattered when she had nothing else to do. We could be chatting, and she would just go offline, no excuse, no explanation.

If I didn't call her she doesn't call, if I didn't send a message I will not receive any from her.

That was when it hit me: This person is not meant for me. Because the one who is meant for me will place me among her priorities.

So, I walked away.

When you’re with the wrong person, you’ll fight to be respected, to be noticed, and to be loved.

But when you’re with the right person, you won’t have to beg for love or attention.
Even in their busiest seasons, they will make space for you.

You’ll be part of their priorities, just like their work, their goals, their dreams.
They won’t push you to the end of their to-do list.

If you have to beg for attention, then you’re simply not a priority.

And if you’re not a priority, you have no business being in that relationship.

So I’ll say it again:
No matter how busy someone is, if they truly care, they will place you among their priorities.
They will create time for you.

If you have to beg, that’s not love.

Because what you love, you give attention to.

Stop accepting people treating like an option.

Why would they oppose what could be the will of God for your life?

This is why, as you approach the age of marriage, you should begin to break free from unhealthy parental control and walk in maturity and independence.

Start by making wise decisions in other areas of your life. If you’ve built a track record of sound judgment, your parents will have little reason to doubt your choice of a life partner.

Sometimes, when parents oppose your decision, it’s not really about the person you brought, it's about their lack of confidence in your ability to choose.

Your parents are wrong for rejecting the man you love based solely on tribe.

Your parent should not control you on who you must marry. Reject it by whatever means. You are an adult.

That is not a godly standard.

I sincerely pray you don’t miss the will of God for your life because of tribal sentiment.
