Wrapping up another milestone in my MedVA journey!

I just completed my class on Claims and Prior Authorizations and it was a game changer in understanding how vital these processes are in ensuring patients get timely care while clinics stay financially healthy.

As part of my assignment, I went hands-on with CoverMyMeds, practicing real-world prior authorization workflows. From creating mock patient profiles to submitting and tracking authorizations, I now have a deeper understanding of how technology streamlines approvals and reduces delays.

👉 Learned how claims and prior auth connect to the revenue cycle
👉 Practiced step-by-step submissions on CoverMyMeds
👉 Built confidence in handling insurance-related processes

This training not only sharpened my skills but also gave me practical exposure that prepares me to support providers more effectively.

I’m excited to keep building on this foundation and becoming an even stronger Medical Virtual Assistant who bridges the gap between patients, providers, and payers.

Loving the Medical Virtual Assistance Journey.

Every week of this training has been a new eye-opener for me. From understanding the basics of patient care processes to diving deep into complex areas like Medical Billing and RCM, I’ve truly enjoyed every step.

What I love most is how practical and hands-on the learning has been. Each class makes me realize how important these skills are in real healthcare settings — and how much value a Medical VA can bring to providers and patients alike.

This journey is challenging, but it’s also exciting. I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep growing, learning, and building the skills that will make a real difference. 💙
