I saw a post as i was scrolling yesterday night about “new born mom family right “the lady was eating rice that was practically plane. When I say plane I mean no salt, maggi,pepper. So I got confused and decided to check the comments section and that was when i saw a lot of comments in the comments section, a lot of mummy’s said they did it because it’s a family ritual/ ritual/ tradition.

Me I am confused ooh because I am a mom and I did not do any family right in fact my mother in law and sister in law served me better ji mmiri oku ( yam pepper soup) specifically made for new mothers in Igbo land once’s Dey put to bed .

One of the mothers in the comment section went as far as saying that her mother in law to be told her that in thier family they serve lizard to new mothers nah so she run for her life ooh 😂😂😂

It’s been over three years I entered this compound without painting all of a sudden landlord said he want to start painting his house at first I was happy until he mentioned he will increase his rent after painting 😭.
Oga landlord please leave my flat like that I love it like that, I don’t like painted house at all .

If you check very well you will see the flat that is not painted, nah my flat be that .Oga landlord is painting other people’s flat without touching my own . I don’t even know if I should be happy or not . At the end I don’t want my rent to be increased period

I started giving my baby purées — blended rice with avocado and other veggies — because it was trending online. Since then, my son has been purging nonstop. 😩

Please parents, not everything trending online is for every child. Every baby is different. I’ve learned the hard way to be more careful and pay attention to what actually works for my child.

Any moms experienced this before? What did you do?
