Akintoye commends Gov. Oyebanji
"No room for excuses, Ekiti Kete have collectively given Gov. Oyebanji the needed 'Carrots and Stick' of the ship to paddle Ekiti State to El dorado". He asserted.
The Media Advisor, President of the Political Standard Organization of Elite Renaissance(PSOER) and the convener of the- Yoruba Friends of Tinubu / Shettima Movements(YFTSM)- 2023 has tagged Gov. Oyebanji's Return - consecutively as 'Rare Opportunity' in the history of Ekiti State's governorship echelon by inffering from his predecessor's history, since 1999.
While granting media interview to pmmnews' crew today, on Monday, July 20, 2026, Akintoye , said for some years now, the political - philosophical impulse or inspirations to pen on His Excellency, Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)and governance's style in Ekiti State had been given him some restless moments. This is because, his opinion and assessments about the incumbent governor , which are products of genuine governance's assessment, can be easily misconceived as anti -political party or an expression of pure partisanship which is erroneously considered in this part of our world as political jingoism.
However, Ekiti Kete had decided through their mandates.
Akintoye, commends Ekiti State Governor- Oyebanji on his previous noticable policy-making and implementing capacity, direct administration over state affair, political inclusion and party's consolidation. More strategically, his state specific statutory establishment powers over state bodies, control budgets and major appointments.
Having painstakingly audited Gov. Oyebanji's activities during his first term in office using SWOT and other political KPI's measurement tools- Gov. Oyebanji's focus, dedication, party-unification, diligence, inclusion, ruggedness and continuity towards completion of his predecessor's initiated projects -
Erstwhile Gov. Dr. Kayode Fayemi's Agenda in Ekiti State had received munomental developments under Gov. Oyebanji's headship.
He(Akintoye ) , reiterated that , the reviewed road construction projects, electricity reliability , educational systems, agro businesses, socioeconomic and state's electoral reform were highly, commendable.
Successful political leadership and good governance are expensive, it will definitely cost you something dear to you, to become the long -time political champion in Ekiti State. Oyebanji led administration in first term had saddled the ship of Ekiti Kete well.
Now, it's not news, that Gov. Oyebanji is on the second observable- ladder to create good history in Ekiti State's book and beyond. History is a bad forgiver and of course , an impertial judge. Ekiti Kete, will not serve or give their mandates to a governor 2 term, consecutively on mere lip services or a lar carte.
Here we are! Gov. Oyebanji's extremely good governance and headship had broken such a long- time cliche in Ekiti State, that had existed since, 1999, if history is something to be refered to.
The Media Advisor, said, that the second term opportunity given to Gov. Oyebanji by Ekiti Kete should not be taken for granted, because it can reshape the public purview of Ekiti Kete and Gov. Oyebanji's acceptance for next national appointment and higher positions at federal level , perhaps after his second reign.
The fool wonders; the wise travels. Procrastination is the grave where opportunity was buried. Akintoye , posited.
Gov. Oyebanji should continue to walk the talk with zero deviations from his manifesto by implementing some coherent policies that will drive lives of the grassroots' class and polities positively. Completion of any moribund and newly commenced projects without much ado .
He said, Gov. Oyebanji can only score exceptional governance and good leadership goals when he(Oyebanji) has a selfless goal for Ekiti Kete's repositioning on global map, couple with the improvement of the quality of life of the citizenry.
Akintoye remarked that , Governor Oyebanji's second term- mandate is an opportunity, that has the capability to dictate outcomes and reshape the future of Ekiti State, and Young Adults in the state presently .Hence, every state strives for something different. Ekiti People have given their mandates to Gov. Oyebanji as opportunities to help Ekiti Kete to seek it greater heights and sieze it by good governance.
He applause Gov. Oyebanji's promising agendas. Particularly , the BBYA initiative, the sought after incubator expert, said, businesses had migrated from brick and mortar with the artificial intelligence and series of the state of the art's aided technologies.
BBYA is one of the series of strategic programs designed to boost food security, empower youths, and modernize the Ekiti State's economy. At the core of Oyebanji's vision is a focus on agribusiness and agro-tourism to transform farming from a traditional occupation into a lucrative, commercial enterprise.
We are constantly challenging convention in innovative ways, so Gov. Oyebanji can take Ekiti Kete to El dorado.
He said, Governor Oyebanji should chop off the rotten part by intensifying more interest on inclusion of people with disability in his government, and embrace advocates for PWD s oriented initiatives and governmental aided programs.
Akintoye, capped his commendation and charges off , by offering prayers to Almighty God to guide Gov. Oyebanji to justify the confidence reposed in him, in the course of the herculean task and challenges ahead.
While extending solidarity on Gov. Oyebanji's second term leadership saddles, He (Akintoye) extends his best regards of the highest esteem to the governor of Ekiti State.
