Maybe no one ever told you this, so let me.

You were never asking for too much.

Not when you wanted to be understood.
Not when you needed comfort.
Not when you hoped someone would notice you were struggling without having to explain every wound.

The truth is, some of us spent years believing our needs were burdens because the people around us couldn't meet them.

So we learned to be “easy.”

To need less. To stay quiet. To convince ourselves that disappointment was maturity.

But healing changes things.

Healing teaches you that your needs were never the problem. Being unseen was.

Your younger self didn't need tougher skin.
She needed reassurance. She needed safety.
She needed someone to say, “I see you. I hear you. You matter.”

And if no one gave you that then, you are allowed to give it to yourself now.

You are allowed to rest without earning it.
To speak without apologizing. To take up space without guilt. To stop abandoning yourself just because others once did.

It's time to become the version of you that finally decided:
"I deserve the care I've been giving everyone else."
