Garment construction is a technical accomplishment that requires the knowledge and skills of basic sewing techniques, application of stitches, seam, darts, gathers , pleat and edge finishing.

Steps in garment construction:

Method if garment construction
Cutting, Marking, pinning, basting, Stitching, Seam finishing, trimmings, pressing, Stabilising, all this techniques are used in sewing over and over no matter what it is you are making.

Garment construction techniques
French seam
Plain seam
Flat fell seam
Open seam
Edge finished.

Basic components of garment(Shirt).
The front and back body, Sleeve, cuff, Placket, Yoke, Collar and the pocket.All this need to be assembled together in order to make a shirt.

We all know for every good building there is always a solid foundation.

If the foundation is faulty the building will collapse that is why the bible says if the foundation be destroy what can the righteous do.

In all you do let the foundation be strong then you can always build on that string foundation amd will be rest assure that the building will stand erect.

1) Foundation is an underlaying basis or principle.
2) A body or ground upon which something is builtup or over laid.
3) A woman's supporting undergarments.
4) The basis or groundwork of anything.
5) The fundamental assumptions from which something is begun or developed or calaculated or explain.
6) A woman's undergarment worn to give shape to the contours of the body.

This is the foundation of building a corset.
When the pattern is well drafted good dress is inevitable.
