The future of jobs is rapidly changing, and job security is becoming a thing of the past. The industrial era, built on rigid structures and lifelong employment, has given way to the information age, an era where adaptability, innovation, and self-sufficiency matter more than ever.

The traditional ā€œPrussianā€ system of education and employment is failing, and perhaps itā€™s time to return to a more independent, agrarian, or entrepreneurial approach to life.

Growing up, I saw my dad and uncles build businesses and create wealth on their terms. Then came a shift generations after they pursued Western education, looking for jobs that no longer exist in abundance. Now, the reality is stark: the job market is shrinking, the economy is unstable, banks are tightening their grip on loans, mortgage rates are skyrocketing, and interest rates are unforgiving. Yet, amid this chaos, the architects of the system continue to thrive. The wealthy understand a fundamental truth success comes from doing what others are afraid to do.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to break free from conventional wisdom. Challenge the norm. Build something of your own. Invest in skills that give you control over your future. Because in this new age, those who create, innovate, and think independently will be the ones who prosper.

Itā€™s never too late to start your business! The earlier, the better. Thereā€™s no perfect time, stop waiting until you get your ILR or British passport. It takes about two to three years to truly master a business, whether youā€™re in a new country or still in your home country.

I just checked my YouTube video, where I give a step-by-step guide on how to register a business in the UK, and I was amazed by the number of views! So many people have even come back to show me proof of their registered businesses.

Hereā€™s an important tip for you: You need a business email. Itā€™s time to stop using your Gmail for corporate business. In the future, you may need to provide references for people who have volunteered or worked with your business.

Stop adding your BSc or Masterā€™s degree to your CV if youā€™re applying for jobs like security, care work, steward, or waiter. Many recruiters see it as a red flag!

Imagine Iā€™m hiring for a steward position, and I donā€™t have a university degree. If I see someone with a Masterā€™s degree applying, I might not take them seriously. I might even see them as a threat to my position if they join the company.

It took me about 20 attempts to redesign my CV before I finally landed my digital printing job. The last thing I did was remove all my degrees, leaving only my National Diploma certificate. After that, I got multiple job offers to choose from.

But guess what? As soon as I started the job, I let people know about my other qualifications. That increased my value, and within two months, I was promoted to handle a new digital printer the company bought.

A lot of black people in the UK live in fear, and Iā€™ve realized that this fear often comes from what they hear from friends and family people who have never even tried what they want to do. Instead of finding out the real facts, they assume things, and that assumption holds them back.

I always encourage people who already have a business in the UK to register it. Doing so puts them in a better position for future opportunities like getting bank loans, expanding their services, hiring employees, and increasing the number of Black-owned businesses in the UK. But many people believe they need Ā£10,000 to register a business when, in reality, it costs just Ā£50. And the best part? You can do it yourself!
