By Comrade Ijeomah Anthony

The Biafra Internal Government has been thrown into deep mourning following the death of Mrs. Omenka, the beloved wife of Chief Emmanuel Omenka, the Regional Leader of Nnewi North and Chief Minister of Anambra South State.

According to reports, Mrs. Omenka passed away late this night after a brief illness and has been taken to the mortuary. The shocking news has left the Omenka family, close associates, and the entire Biafra movement devastated.

On behalf of the Biafra Internal Government led by Elder Virginia Ubazuonu, the Ministry of Information expressed heartfelt condolences to Chief Omenka and his family during this painful period. “The loss of a wife, a mother, and a pillar in the family is a grief too heavy to bear. Our hearts are with Chief Omenka and his children as they pass through this dark valley of sorrow”.

The Ministry further called on all members of BIM-MASSOB and the Biafran family at large to reach out, console, and strengthen Chief Omenka through this season of mourning and as well express our sympathies and prayers with him.

The Biafra Government prays for the repose of the departed soul and divine comfort for the grieving family.

WORLD POLITICS: Recognizing The Rights To Self-Determination Only In Europe And America While Denying Same Rights In Africa Is Double Standard, Says BIM-MASSOB.

From Chris Mocha, Biafra Seat Of Power, Owerri
September 20, 2025

OWERRİ - İMO STATE : The Movement for the Actualizaion of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has insisted that permitting the rights to Self-Determination only in Europe and America while denying same in West Africa Sub-region - in this case, Biafra, because they're blacks is being double standard.

BIM,-MASSOB's social activism is a reminder for the world at large to adhere strictly to its own common rules; a call to the United Nations to honour its own common laid down principles and expectations based on our unwavering faith in the world to apply the same common set of guidelines to its humanity regardless of geography or sociobiology.

MASSOB explained that before the coming together of Sovereign Nations to form what is today known as the United Nations in 1945, a resolution was entered by League of Nations -- a group of Nations who have combined for a particular purpose.

They set an agenda -- on the Rights and Duties of States in the City of Montevideo, Republic of Uruguay on 28th December, 1933.

Bolivia alone amongst the States represented at the Seventh İnternational Conference Of American States did not sign the Convention . The United States of America, Peru, and Brazil ratified the Convention with reservations directly attached to the document.

Many Sovereign countries today including our oppressor, Nigeria have never gained her Independence at that period , the BIM-MASSOB leader, Ralph Uwazuruike once said as MASSOB celebrated 26 years of non-violent agitation for Biafra on September 13, 2025.

Uwazuruike stressed that since June 1, 1991, about 34 years ago when he was called to the Nigerian Bar Association as a lawyer and still counting, that he is conversant with the nitty-gritty of the resolutions of the Montevideo Convention , and of course, following their rules and principles meticulously.

As we speak, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, a leader of non-violent organization, and the official representative of a people of over fifty million strong by population, is excercising his Self-Determination rights under the name and banner of Biafra.

Citing mass killings as reasons, like the Massacre of MASSOB members of over 3, 000 by the repressive regime of the former Nigerian President, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo;
Insecurity,
the Persecution of Christians in Nigeria;
Unemployment,
Police brutality, Injustice, Total Disregard for the rule of law,
Corruption and a Government that only offered protection to politicians,
the group urged United Nations to do the needful by dividing Nigeria into its natural units of 6 Republics of which Biafra is one -- for peace to reign supreme.

BIM-MASSOB had earlier accused the world body, UN, and America of granting independent States to smaller countries in Europe with lesser populations in the past while denying same to Biafra with bigger population in Nigeria's West Africa -- because we are blacks.

The BIM-MASSOB organization working for the establishment of Biafra republic through non-violent and non-exodus methods also accused the United Nations and developed countries of the world for not being proactive in responding to the problems of Africa till such problems escalated to war and Genocide.

The group cited the examples of Somalia, Rwanda (Darfur Region), Biafra, Congo, Sudan and lately Liberia.

In a press release signed by the group's Director of information, Mazi Chris Mocha recalled how the British empire which created the evil contraption called Nigeria separated Pakistan from India.

Soviet Union in 1991 separated into 15 independent States;.
Czechoslovakia had in 1992 separated into Czech and Slovakia Republics;
Eritrea in 1991 separated from Ethiopia.

Under our watchful eye MASSOB said that East-Timor of about 821, 000 populations separated from Indonesia in May 21, 2002;
Serbia and Montenegro also separated in November 13, 2006 during a world cup tournament;

Kosovo, a tiny population of less than 10 million people later separated from Serbia on February 17, 2008;

In Africa, South Sudan also separated from Sudan on July 9, 2011.

Some countries we have never heard their names recently also participated in international football tournaments.

İf truly United Nations is working for global peace, then it should not turn a deaf ear to our popular demand for Biafra ( the occupied territory in Nigeria) to be accorded recognition .

Biafra Parliament Debates Bi-Monthly Salary Bill to Curb Civil Service Corruption

By Ijeomah Anthony, Owerri
September 23rd, 2025

Biafra National Parliament, 12th September 2025: A groundbreaking bill aimed at reducing corruption in the Biafran civil service has been formally introduced in the National Parliament by Hon. Okananwa Anthony C., representing Region C-4, Zone C.

The proposed legislation, titled the Biafra Civil Service Bi-Monthly Salary Payment and Anti-Corruption Bill, 2025, seeks to mandate that all civil servants receive their monthly salaries in two installments—on the 14th and 28th of every month. According to Hon. Okananwa, this approach will not only enhance the welfare of civil servants but also significantly reduce bribery and other forms of corruption in the public sector.

“When a civil servant sees money in his pocket regularly, he will forbid bribery. Financial stability gives workers dignity and discourages corruption,” said Hon. Okananwa Anthony C., while presenting the bill to the house.

Hon. Rev. Elder Linus Iweanya, Speaker of the Biafra National Parliament, commended the initiative, stating that the bill reflects the Parliament’s commitment to creating a transparent and efficient civil service.

“This proposal aligns with our national anti-corruption agenda. Timely and frequent salary payments will not only motivate workers but also help in rebuilding trust between the government and its employees,” the Speaker said.

Several parliamentarians expressed strong support for the bill during the preliminary debate:

Hon. Philip Chukwu (Oshimili South Region, Delta North state): “This bill is a brilliant step towards addressing the root causes of corruption. A satisfied civil servant will not look for shortcuts.”

Hon. Martins Ezeaka(Ogbaru Region, Anambra North state): “Our workers face enormous pressure between paydays. Splitting the salary payments will ease financial stress and improve national productivity.”

Hon. Christopher Ashiegbu (Brass Region, Bayelsa East state): “This legislation is not just about anti-corruption; it is a social reform that will lift many families out of poverty and encourage responsible financial planning.”

The bill is projected to:
1. Reduce bribery and corruption in the civil service.
2. Boost morale and productivity among government workers.
3. Promote savings and investment, enabling workers to plan for the future.
4. Strengthen public trust in the Biafran government.

The bill has been referred to the Committee on Finance and Public Service for further scrutiny and is expected to return for a second reading in the next Parliament sitting.
