My Life as a City Rabbit Farmer
The 2 Big Challenges I Face (and How I Handle Them)

Raising rabbits in the city has been such a beautiful experience for me, but let me be honest, it comes with its fair share of challenges. 😅

One of the biggest ones is finding fresh grass. Unlike in the village, where green feed is everywhere, city life doesn’t give you that luxury. At first, I struggled: running around empty plots and roadside corners looking for enough grass to feed my rabbits. Eventually, I learned a smarter way: I buy hay from the market and keep it stored. It’s always available, clean, and my rabbits love it! I mix it up with bits of fresh greens whenever I can, just to keep things natural and balanced.

Then there’s the second challenge — keeping their homes clean. Rabbits are clean animals, but their hutches can get messy fast. If you’re not on top of it, you’ll deal with bad smell and even infections. I’ve made cleaning part of my daily routine now; quick sweeps, dry bedding, and proper ventilation. It keeps their home fresh, and honestly, it keeps my mind at peace too.

City farming may not be easy, but I love every part of it — the learning, the care, and the quiet joy of seeing healthy rabbits grow right here in the middle of city life.
