I’m in a much better place now so I can finally talk about this..
Back in 2020 when I was desperately looking for a way to relocate abroad, I kept begging one of my dad’s brothers who was already British in the UK to sponsor me.
He kept telling me:
“Apply for schools first. Once you get admission, let me know.”
I started applying to schools back to back like my life depends on it. At that point, my only prayer point was:
“God please let me get admission.”
As God would have it, I got 4 different admissions… I was SO happy… that day was one of my happiest day..
I announced my travel plans to friends, enemies and innocent bystanders.. I told my uncle about the admission so he told me to come over to the house…
I rushed to the market to buy things he likes because i don’t want to go empty handed, i bought prawns and pomo because he loved gizzard and pomo alata(peppered pomo) I added meat too. I even bought different fruits as well, he loved fruits.

Him:

Me:
“So daddy… about my admission?”
This man looked confused and said:
“What’s the update?”
I was confused too because sir???
You were the one who told me to get admission first.. So I started explaining again.
Then he suddenly said:
“Haaa Olajumoke… £10,000 ke? Where do you expect me to see that kind of money from?” 💀
Me: “not to give me everything but to support sir, I have some savings too”
Omo my heart broke instantly.. Then this man looked at me and said:
“Don’t stress yourself. Go on Facebook and lo
