Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world ( James 1:27).
Today, I wish to speak on what I call: PURE RELIGION AND UNDEFILED BEFORE GOD.
For a while, many servants or children of God have been worrisome on social media about what is the true and acceptable way of worshiping God, and this is the reason of their worry: different men and women of God who are supposedly worshiping and studying the same God and his word, are preaching or teaching their followers or on social media different ideas from the same chapters and verses. How be it, by so doing many have been deceived and deluded.
On this premise, I decided to look into it today seeing that the issue was covered today by our pattern of studying God's word this year.
Now, these are two features or virtues that makes your religion more especially Christianity, pure and undefiled before God almighty. They are;
1. To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction. If you claim to be a true Christian, while in your home, kindred, community, place of worship etc there are still fatherless, widows, widowers, children whose fathers or mothers or guidances are financially dead, and you don't ask about their welfare, you are worst than infidel. Therefore, I counsel you that if in your own place of worship, that the servant of God there is not using tithe money to take care of these categories of people, then take your tithe direct to them by yourself ( Deuteronomy 14:28-29). Nevertheless, knowledge is a defensive mechanism to anyone that has it. In entirety, tithe according to the scriptures are meant to provides needs of the levites and the high priest who were denied inheritance among Israelites ( Numbers 18:20-32). The orders are;
(a) the whole Israel apart from people from levitical lineage should pay their tithe to the levites while the levites then pay tenth of it to the high priest.
(b) After 3 years of paying tithe to levites and certainly there must have been an increase in what you are doing, then come to the place where God has approved for his worship and eat, rejoice and give gift of all sorts according to your desire to your household, levites, fatherless, motherless, poor, windows, widowers and strangers (Deuteronomy 14:22-29). Please don't allow anybody to deceive you when you have the word of God at home and also in your hands. Shalom!
2. To keep himself or herself unspotted from the world. After you have done the first one, then try to keep yourself from all Pollutions in the world. Thanks and be bless
