RePosted • Money ritual: Youth allegedly k*lls girlfriend inside Ajah estate, sleeps with co**se for 6 days

A man, Ifeanyi Njoku, has been arrested for allegedly k*lling his girlfriend, Precious Okeke, 24, in an estate at Badore, in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

The live-in lovers stayed on Oke Street, where Njoku allegedly k*lled his girlfriend for ritual purposes, Punch reported citing a source.

A native doctor, who was assisting the suspect, instructed him to have s*x with Okeke’s co**se.

Njoku was said to have engaged in the illicit act with the co**se for six days, as the stench emanating from his apartment prompted his neighbours to inform the management of the estate.

A source, Elizabeth John, said during a search of the apartment, Okeke’s decomposing co**se was found.

She said, “The boy killed his girlfriend about six days ago, and he confessed that he wanted to use the girl for money rituals. He said he was told that he should have s*x with his girlfriend’s co**se for seven days, but he was caught on the sixth day. Today (Monday) is supposed to make it the seventh day.

“The smell of the co**se had been disturbing neighbours in the compound and other residents. So, they called the estate chairman to help in confirming what was going on in the apartment and while searching the apartment, they found the girl’s body.

“The boy was arrested and taken to the Lamgbasa Police Station and during interrogation, he confessed that he k*lled his girlfriend six days ago.

“We learnt that the boy offered N6m to k*ll the case; we also learnt that he brought the girlfriend from the village and they just moved into the estate.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, adding that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.

He said, “Two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, 36, have been arrested. They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation. Njoku was the one that rented the apartment.”

A London-based nurse currently serving an 18-year prison term for traffic*king Nigerian women to Europe and forcing them into s*ex work has been ordered to hand over almost £184,000

Josephine Iyamu ("voo*doo nurse"), 54, was the first British national to be conv*icted under the Modern Slavery Act for offe*nces comm*itted overseas, in a landmark prose*cution led by the National Cri*me Agency in 2018.

She was born in Liberia, but became a British citizen in 2009 having been allowed to stay in the UK due to her nursing qualifications.

Her husband, 60-year-old Efe Ali-Imaghodor, was acquitted of doing acts intending to per*vert the course of justice.

Iyamu was handed a confis*cation order totalling £183,806.06 at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday 4 March.

The confis*cation amount took into account her available assets, which include a large house in Benin City, Nigeria, where she employed household staff.

If she fa*ils to pay the full sum within three months, she will serve an additional two years in prison and still be liable for the money.

Confis*cation orders are a key tool providing us with the capability to really hit crim*inals where it hu*rts - in the pocket. Iyamu was mani*pulative and motivated by money. Not only is she serving a hefty prison sentence, but she won’t be living a luxury lifestyle when she comes out.

The NCA’s investigation into Iyamu began in July 2017 following information from the German Police who had identified one of her vic*tims working in a bro*thel in Trier.

After locating Iyamu, AKA Madame Sandra, in London, NCA investigators worked with the Nigerian Agency for the Prohibition of Traff*icking in Persons (NAPTIP) to look into her activities in Nigeria.

Enquiries identified that she had positioned herself as a rich and powerful woman in Nigeria and had launched a political campaign, through which she claimed she wanted to empower women and families.

Using her status, Iyamu recruited vul*nerable women from rural villages and promised them a better life in Europe. She charged them up to 38,000 Euro for facilitating their travel and forced them to work as pros*titutes in Germany.
