Press Release: YORUBA YOUTH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL (YYCI)
The Yoruba Youth Council International condemns in strong terms the irresponsible display of arrogance and illegality by Mr Gani Adams and his rampaging gang of bandits.
There is no known law that supports the harassment and intimidation of innocent resident of Lagos State.
Precisely on the 15th of March 2014, Yoruba Youths amongst other Lagos residents lost their lives in the scandalous and shameful immigration recruitment tragedy, not a single statement was made to that effect by Mr Gani Adams.
Five thousand jobs for his bandits, through the questionable pipeline contract is not enough to disturb the peace of Lagos State, while hundred of thousands of Yoruba Youths remain unemployed.
We therefore urge Mr Gani Adams to be very mindful of his actions and inactions as any further provocation from his bandits will be equally measured and responded to adequately. He does not speak for the Yoruba people and we dissociate our tribe from his shameful and illegal activities.
We urge all peace loving people of Lagos state to continue to go about their lawful duties while the appropriate mandated authorities curb the excesses of these illegal bandits.
Signed
Prince Idebi Olumorowa.
