The Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) says 80 families from the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in the state, have returned to their ancestral homes in Makurdi, the state capital. Troops of the 6 Division, in synergy with other security agencies, have intensified the onslaught against oil thieves in the Niger Delta Region. In several operations conducted between 20 October and 9 November 2025, remarkable gains were recorded. These resulted in the dismantling of fourteen illegal refining hubs, the arrest of fourteen suspected oil thieves, and the confiscation of over 20,205 litres of stolen products across the region.

The Lagos State Command has reiterated its intention to arrest political activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore over alleged plans to incite violence protests in Lagos

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olohundare Jimoh said this during a strategic security meeting at the command headquarters in Ikeja on Monday. Jimoh said that in spite of Sowore’s invitation, he had failed to show up at the command headquarters.

An Ikeja High Court on Monday remanded, Wasiu Akinwande, popularly known as Olori Eso, and two others at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly killing two persons. The Lagos State Government arraigned Akinwande alongside Qudus Egbere and Sola Edun-Tomiwa on an amended five-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder and membership of an unlawful society. Justice Oyindamola Ogala remanded the defendants and adjourned the case until Jan. 19, 2026 for commencement of trial.

Healthcare activities remain paralysed at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, as the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) strike enters its 10th day. A visit by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to the hospital on Monday revealed that the Accident and Emergency Unit and the Out-Patient Department were deserted. The UCH doctors embarked on an indefinite strike on Nov. 1, as directed by its national body, the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared a former Minister of Petroleum Resources and former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva wanted. Sylva is wanted in connection with an alleged case of conspiracy and dishonest conversion of $14,859,257( Fourteen Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Nine Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty Seven United States Dollars), being part of funds injected by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board( NCDMB) into Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited for the construction of a Refinery.

The United Nations Children Funds (UNICEF), says 75 per cent of children in Katsina State are experiencing multidimensional poverty, meaning they are deprived of three or more essential dimensions of well-being. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Monday, said that about 20 ships laden with food items, petroleum products, and others, are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos. In its shipping position for Monday, the authority disclosed that the ships will arrive Lagos from Nov. 10 to Nov. 12. According to the NPA, out of the 20 expected ships, four contains crude oil, four contains petrol, three others are to arrive with aviation fuel, while the remaining nine ships are to arrive with diesel, Gas oil, and different products. The NPA also hinted that three ships had arrived the ports and were waiting to berth with general cargo and bulk urea. #10 #20
