What should I do with my Nigerian neighbours? Other neighbours complained with me, but seen no body do anything with it.

My Nigerian neighbours are really affecting my sleep. I spoke to them face-to-face about it once last year and once this year, but it seems they’re just used to making a lot of noise and don’t really change. I live on the outskirts of the city, and most of the time they’re perfectly pleasant, but from June through to September they just about drive me round the bend.

I’ve never known neighbours with so many friends — there are four or five cars coming and going. At midnight, two in the morning, four, even five, I’m woken up by car doors slamming and front doors banging shut. Even when they’re on the phone indoors, I’ve looked out and seen their windows closed, yet somehow the sound still carries like you wouldn’t believe. They’ll beep their horn at ten at night, play music in the car at four in the morning, and at five be out in the street laughing and filming TikToks.

They’re quiet enough during the day, but things kick off around six in the evening. Our usual rest time is ten at night until seven in the morning, and I really do like this neighbourhood. I just don’t know what to do — is moving out to the countryside the only way to get away from it?
