Title: My Brother’s Girlfriend
Part :2
The next morning, I woke up with a heavy feeling in my chest.
I kept replaying what I saw the previous night in my head. Amara talking in the sitting room… whispering about a plan… about taking everything.
Yet when I came out of my room, she was already in the kitchen with my mother, laughing like nothing had happened.
“Good morning, Nekky!” she said brightly. “I helped your mom make breakfast.”
My mother smiled proudly.
“This girl is a blessing.”
I forced a smile and sat down, but my eyes stayed on Amara.
She acted so normal… too normal.
My brother Chinedu walked in and wrapped his arm around her.
“See my beautiful woman,” he said proudly.
Amara leaned into him and smiled sweetly.
Watching them together made my stomach twist. Chinedu had no idea who he was dealing with.
I wanted to tell him everything.
But what would I say?
Your girlfriend was talking to herself in the dark about stealing our property?
He would think I was jealous or crazy.
Just then, we heard someone shouting from outside.
“Hello! Anybody home?”
My father looked through the window.
“There is a man at the gate,” he said.
I stepped outside to check.
Standing at the gate was a tall, rough-looking man wearing dusty clothes. His eyes looked tired but determined.
“Good morning,” I said cautiously. “Who are you looking for?”
The man looked past me toward the house.
“I’m looking for Amara,” he said.
My heart skipped.
“Why?”
He hesitated for a moment before answering.
“Because she is my wife.”
For a second, I thought I heard him wrong.
“Your… what?”
“My wife,” he repeated firmly.
Before I could react, the door behind me opened.
Amara stepped outside.
The moment she saw the man, the color drained from her face.
The sweet smile disappeared.
The man pointed at her.
“There you are,” he said angrily. “You thought you could run away and start a new life?”
My heart started racing.
My brother walked outside too.
“What is going on here?” Chinedu asked.
The man looked directly at him.
“You must be the new man,” he said coldly.
Chinedu frowned.
“What are you talking about?”
The man took a deep breath.
“This woman,” he said, pointing again at Amara, “is my legally married wife.”
The entire compound went silent.
My brother looked at Amara in shock.
“Amara… what is he talking about?”
For the first time since I met her…
Amara had no smile.
She looked trapped.
And then something strange happened.
Instead of denying it…
Amara slowly began to laugh.
Not softly.
Not nervously.
But loudly.
And that was when I realized something even more terrifying.
The secret Amara was hiding…
Was much bigger than we imagined.

My Brother’s Girlfriend
Part 1:
The Girl With the Perfect Smile
The day my brother brought his girlfriend home was the day my peace disappeared.
Her name was Amara.
According to my brother, she was everything a man could pray for—beautiful, respectful, intelligent, and hardworking. In his words, “She is wife material.”
But the moment she stepped into our house, something inside me felt uneasy.
Maybe it was the way she looked around the house too carefully… like she was studying everything. Or the way her smile seemed too perfect, like she had practiced it in front of a mirror many times.
“Nekky" come and greet your brother’s girlfriend,” my mother called from the sitting room.
I walked in slowly.
Amara stood up immediately and stretched out her hand.
“Hi, I’ve heard so much about you,” she said warmly.
Her voice was soft and sweet.
I forced a smile and shook her hand.
But the moment our hands touched, a strange chill ran through my body.
Her hand was cold.
Not just normal cold.
Unnaturally cold.
“You’re welcome,” I said politely and sat down.
My brother, Chinedu, couldn't stop smiling. He looked happier than I had seen him in years.
Dinner that night felt like a celebration. Amara laughed at all my father’s jokes, praised my mother’s cooking, and helped clear the table without even being asked.
Within hours, she had won everyone’s heart.
My mother was already whispering to my father.
“This girl is a good wife for Chinedu.”
But I stayed quiet.
Something about her didn’t sit well with me.
Later that night, I went to the kitchen to drink water. The house was dark and quiet. Everyone had gone to bed.
As I walked past the sitting room, I suddenly heard a voice.
Amara’s voice.
She was talking softly.
At first, I thought she was on the phone with my brother.
But when I peeked through the door, I saw something strange.
She was standing alone in the middle of the sitting room.
No phone.
Yet she was talking.
“I told you,” she whispered. “Everything is going according to plan.”
My heart skipped.
Plan?
“What about the family?” the voice seemed to respond—but I couldn't hear it clearly.
Amara laughed quietly.
“Don't worry about them,” she said. “The brother already trusts me. Soon I will become the wife. Once that happens, everything will belong to me.”
My chest tightened.
Everything?
The house? My parents’ property?
Just then the wooden floor creaked under my foot.
Amara stopped speaking immediately.
Slowly… very slowly… she turned toward the door.
Our eyes met.
For a moment, we just stared at each other.
Then she smiled.
But it was not the sweet smile everyone loved.
This smile was dark.
Almost… threatening.
“Neekky,” she said calmly. “How long have you been standing there?”
My mouth went dry.
“I… I just came to get water,” I replied.
She walked closer to me.
Each step made my heart pound harder.
When she finally stood in front of me, she leaned closer and whispered softly:
“You should be careful about listening to conversations that are not meant for you.”
Then she smiled again and walked past me like nothing had happened.
That night, I couldn’t sleep.
Something was terribly wrong.
My brother thought he had found the love of his life.
But deep down I knew one thing.
Amara was hiding something.
And if I didn't find out what it was soon…
My brother might be in serious danger.
But what I didn't know was that this was only the beginning.
Because the next day…

Safety in our homes should never be taken lightly, especially in places as vulnerable as the toilet. The anti-snake bite 4' non-return valve pan connector is a simple but powerful solution every household, school, office, and public restroom needs.
This device is specially designed to prevent snakes, rodents, insects, and other harmful reptiles from entering the toilet through the drainage system. In areas where snakes are common—especially during rainy seasons—toilet pipes are one of the easiest entry points into homes. The non-return feature blocks this route completely, offering round-the-clock protection.
Beyond safety, it also improves hygiene. By preventing backflow, foul smells, insects, and waste gases are kept out of the bathroom, making the environment cleaner and healthier for users. This is especially important for children, elderly people, and pregnant women who may be more vulnerable to shock or injury.
The anti-snake bite pan connector is easy to install, durable, and cost-effective. Compared to the risk of snake bites, hospital bills, trauma, or even loss of life, installing this device is a smart and responsible choice.
Every toilet should be a place of comfort, not fear. Installing an anti-snake bite 4' non-return valve pan connector is a small step that provides massive protection, peace of mind, and improved sanitation for everyone.
