🎛️ Mono or Stereo Waves Plugins, Which One Should You Use?

If you’re just starting out, this can be confusing, but here’s the easiest way to understand it:

➡️ Use MONO plugins on mono tracks
➡️ Use STEREO plugins on stereo tracks, like a full beat, stereo lead vocal groups, background vocals, or effects with space like Reverb, Delay etc.

🧠 Think of it like this:

Mono - one sound source, centered.
Stereo - wide sound, spreads left and right.

If you’re not sure, check your track, if it says (Mono), go mono. If it says (Stereo), go stereo.

🎯However, I know that even after explaining things, some of you might still feel unsure and that’s totally okay.

From my experience, the type you want to be most careful with is the mono plugin.
If you use it on the wrong type of track (like a stereo one), it can collapse your sound and mess up your mix.

✅ So here’s a safe rule for beginners:
If you're not 100% sure, just use stereo plugins on everything.
It’s a safer choice until you fully understand the difference and your mix will stay clean and wide.
