AKOKA CARNIVAL 2019 TO HOLD DECEMBER 7TH
All plans are concurrently in motion ahead of another beautiful and colorful edition of the Akoka Carnival 2019 as proudly organized by the Akoka Community Development Association, Bariga, Lagos.
It is no longer news that the auguries of the Akoka Carnival 2019 has continued to gather much momentum alongside wide spread popularity owing to the unrelenting efforts of the Akoka Carnival 2019 committee in making this year's event a topnotch.
It should be of note that this annual carnival organized by the Akoka Community Development Association has grown and metamorphosed into a more bigger platform connecting up to more than 20 streets in Akoka and also attracting visitors/wide spectators.
Streets comprising Abayomi, Wulemotu, Finbarrs, Ayetoro, Bright Oridami, Emily Akinola, Community, Olanrewaju, Afolabi Brown, Tunde Bello, Abegunde, Moronfolu and many others are expected to put up different artistic display and colorful performances in this year's carnival.
In a bid to further strengthen this year's carnival, the Akoka carnival committee has continued to trail the blaze in securing more partnership and endorsement deals.
Most importantly, the Special Adviser, Tourism and Culture to Lagos state governor, Mr. Bode Oki during a courtesy visit to his office gave the community maximum support and also also assured that the Lagos state government will take full responsibility of the carnival in other subsequent editions due to the giant strides recorded by the community in recent years.
As part of the plans to ensure the Akoka Carnival for this year is a beehive of frolic activities, this year's edition will be themed as “Akoka Arise” and as such, it's expected to feature series of colorful display of performances from the Bariga Artiste forum, carnival procession from different bands, acrobatic display and other numerous side attractions from all age grades.
