Badagry Constituency 2: Olorunda People Begin Massive Mobilization and sensitisation, Vow to Invoke the Political Instrumentality of “OTOGE” Come 2027
The political tide in Badagry Constituency 2 is shifting rapidly as the people of Olorunda Local Council Development area have begun mass mobilization and sensitisation ahead of the APC LGA Congress, Primaries and 2027 general elections —
this time, they are anchoring their movement on one powerful Yoruba word: “OTOGE!”, meaning Enough is Enough!
From community meetings to youth Based street talks, Olorunda is awakening Politically like never before. The people are resolute, declaring that they will no longer remain silent or sidelined in the distribution of political opportunities within Badagry Confederation, Most especially Badagry constituency 2, Lagos state Assembly post
For over 2 decades, the Lagos State House of Assembly seat for the Badagry constituency 2 has been dominated by Other zones. Now, Olorunda residents are demanding justice, fairness, and equity , insisting that the 2027 Assembly slot must rotate to their area.
Speaking during a recent mobilization meeting, a Forum youth leader captured the sentiment perfectly:
“We have waited long enough. We have played our part faithfully in every election. Now, Olorunda must take its rightful place. This is our time, o ti to ge meaning enough is enough.
In same vein, Community leaders, elders, and political stakeholders echoed the same voice, urging unity among all Olorunda residents
They stressed that the coming election will not be about division, but about reclaiming balance and equity within the political structure of Badagry Constituency 2.
“This is not rebellion; this is reawakening,” said one of the conveners. “We are invoking the political instrumentality of OTOGE to correct years of imbalance. Olorunda has been patient enough, but patience has its limits.”
As 2027 draws closer, the Olorunda Movement is gathering serious momentum, with coordinated efforts across wards, youth organizations, and women groups. The message is spreading fast — from the markets to the town squares — Olorunda lo kan! (It is Olorunda’s turn).
In clear terms, the people have spoken:
Olorunda is ready. Olorunda is united. Olorunda says “OTOGE!” — Enough is enough!
