Life lately: learning, unlearning, and showing up anyway

I love baking. I really do.

But can somebody explain why washing the pans and bowls feels like a punishment for following my passion? 😭

I’ll happily spend hours baking and decorating, but the moment I see that pile of dishes waiting for me, I start questioning all my life choices.

Sometimes I just stand in front of the sink hoping the pots will wash themselves.

Why isn’t this not a job title on its own. Pan washer

Asoebi girl duties
The bride sent my asoebi directly to my tailor. I never saw the fabric, we did one video call and that was it.

Fast forward to a few hours before the wedding, I finally tried it on...
Tell me why it fit so well?
Simple and sweet. What do you think?

The full fit is at the end of the video.

One thing I’ve heard over and over as a business owner is, ā€œDon’t expect your friends and family to support your business.ā€ And for the longest time, that was my experience.

But since I relaunched, most of my orders have come from people who know me.

To everyone supporting my cake business in any way, thank you. It means more than you know.

And you don’t need a celebration to eat cakes, you deserve sweet things everyday.

Today, I’m finally doing my hair.

After months of leaving my hair in what can only be described as a very unfortunate situation, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. šŸ˜‚

It might seem like a small thing, but for me, this is part of my journey of becoming the kind of woman I’m trying to be, someone who’s trying to regain her spark one day at a time,

Here’s to ticking off more goals, and figuring things out as I go.

I know I’m always talking about how my life is everywhere and nowhere at once.

Recently, I figured out how to combine content creation, work, and business in a way that feels right. I think I’ve finally found my rhythm.

So, this is me coming back to creating content the way I’ve always loved to, without the pressure of monetization. I just want to have fun with my content again and let social media become a safe space for me one more time.
And yeah, I’m living life one day at a time.

I’m officially restarting my cake business! šŸŽ‚

This has been a long time coming. After closing down a few years ago, I’ve taken time to grow, learn, and rediscover my love for baking, and one thing is clear: I can’t give up on it.

We’re now back and better, with a new location in Yaba, Lagos, and a stronger focus on branding, quality, and visibility.

We offer:
• Custom cakes (birthdays, weddings, celebrations)
• Banana bread & other sweet treats
• Party treats for all occasions

This journey means so much to me, and your support will mean even more when you patronize the brand.

Kindly click the link in my bio or send me a DM to place your orders or make enquiries. I’ll respond as quickly as possible!

Thank you for being part of this new chapter

It’s past 12:00 a.m. on the 15th of February. I put on some candles, made some wishes, and realized how scared I was to blow them out.

Yo! I’m allowed to feel the fear as long as I don’t dwell in it. I’ve come so far, even though it sometimes feels like I’ve gone backwards.

25 was soft, I won’t lie, the softest and the most confused I’ve ever been.

This year, I allow myself to be loved, to be seen, to be celebrated. No intensity, just intentionality.

Cheers to 26.

P.S. I’m just going to let the candles burn themselves out.

Love,
Elohor
