EPISODE 5
Story Title : "THE RED MOON MISSION" 🩸🌑..............

At exactly 7:15am, the massive clean white luxury bus was already parked in the school.

Students screamed immediately.

“Omoooo!”

“The principal released our special school bus just for this trip”

“See enjoyment!”

Obi the fat boy, adjusted his bag dramatically.

“Hope this bus Ac is still working.. I dey quick sweat.”

Everyone burst into laughter.

Then a black SUV slowly drove into the compound.

The vehicle stopped. A woman stepped out, the one Seraphina introduced as her father's sister and representative. She was to join them in the journey.

The principal smiled warmly.

“You’re welcome.”

The woman nodded politely.

“Goodmorning! Are the students ready now?.”

Her voice remained low.

"Of course. Everything is in order". The principal said with a warm smile.

Then, came Seraphina, coming down from the same SUV. She walked calmly, looking beautiful and neat. She smiled and waved at everyone. The students in the bus waved back immediately.

“Seraphina!”

“Come sit with us!”

8:00AM.

A male teacher stood inside the Bus to do a Roll call, to make sure all the students were present. Students answered loudly one by one, until 42 students were confirmed.

The principal smiled proudly.

“Everybody ready?”

Loud cheering exploded.

“YESSSS!”

The principal laughed.

“Behave yourselves!”

“And no trouble! Wish you all safe journey”

Students settled in the bus, music immediately started. Laughter filled the air.

Some students already opening their snacks, others recording videos. Obi had somehow already fallen asleep and snoring shamelessly after talking away his energy.

Simdi sat quietly near the middle, beside the window.

Tobi sat not too far away. Bible resting on his lap.

Quiet, observing and praying silently.

Then slowly, Seraphina entered the bus and walked to her seat. Her aunt entered last.

The door shut.

The engine started.

And slowly, the bus pulled out of Royal Crest Academy.

The bus rolled smoothly through the city road. Students screamed lyrics loudly as Afrobeats blasted from the bus speaker.

Even the teachers had relaxed.. Seraphina's aunt directed the movement.

2 hours after they left school, the city slowly faded, tall buildings became fewer. Busy roads turned quieter.

Soon, bushes began replacing houses. Long lonely roads stretched endlessly ahead, but nobody cared.

Not yet.

The excitement remained too high, some students already sleeping.

At the back, Obi still snored shamelessly.

One student nudged him.

“Guy wake up na. You've been sleeping since we left school”

Obi opened one eye.

“We don reach?”

"Wake up abeg, no dey disturb my eardrum with your snores". .....

Tobi sat quietly, his Bible resting on his lap. His eyes occasionally drifting outside. Something about the lonely road unsettled him.

He couldn't explain it, but his chest felt heavy.

He reached for his rosary, quietly praying under his breath.

A student sitting next to him laughed.

“Haaa, Father Tobi, do you ever get tired of praying?”

The student mocked jokingly.

“You better relax and have fun, na excursion we dey go, no be crusade.”

But Tobi only smiled back weakly and continued his prayers.

Simdi sat near the window, watching the trees pass. She Tried to enjoy the journey like everybody else, but something refused. That strange restlessness, like her body remembered something her mind was trying to forget.

Then suddenly, she looked up.

And realized Seraphina was staring at her.

The moment their eyes met, Seraphina smiled...slow and gentle.

She turned away, like nothing happened.

Simdi quickly looked outside again. Her stomach twisting.....

1 hours later, the road became stranger, narrower and too quiet. Even network signals disappeared gradually.

Students barely noticed.... almost all of them sleeping.

But the teachers had begun whispering.

One male teacher frowned.

“Are we sure this is the road. This journey is taking too long?”

Seraphina's aunt, sitting at the front nodded calmly.

“Yes. We’re close already.”

Her voice remained oddly calm, almost emotionless.

The teacher still looked unsure.

Then suddenly, the road changed again. It now had tall bushes lined both sides and looking too dense, like nobody had passed there in years.

No houses, no human passing, no cars or motorcycles...Absolutely Nothing.

Just silence

The air felt different and heavier.

Tobi slowly looked up.

Then quietly, he touched his cross beneath his shirt and it was so hot.

Something is definitely very wrong...

Then, the bus je**ed violently once...twice.

Then, it stopped.

Confused murmurs filled the bus.

“What's happening?”

“Have we reached?”

“Driver why did you stop in this lonely bush now?”

The driver sighed loudly and opened his door. He Stepped down.

After a few minutes, he came back briefly. Sweating profusely.

“The bus engine don overheat.”

Groans filled the bus.

“Ahhhh!”

“Overheat for this kain place!”

The driver wiped his forehead.

“I need to find water.”

One teacher frowned.

Looking outside.

“Water? Here?”

The driver pointed vaguely ahead.

“I saw one small area over there that looks like a security post.”

The Seraphina's aunt spoke calmly...

“Let him be..There is water everywhere, he will definitely see.”

Her expression unreadable.

The driver grabbed a container and disappeared down the lonely path.

Minutes passed, students became restless.

Slowly, the excitement faded.

Twenty minutes, no sign of the driver. Thirty minutes.. Forty minutes, still nothing.

One teacher frowned deeply.

“He is taking too long.”

Another checked his phone...No signal.

A female teacher sighed nervously.

“Maybe he got lost?”

Tobi quietly looked outside, something inside him shifted

Then he said almost to himself...

“Something is wrong here.”

One hour passed, still, no driver.

The bus had gone strangely quiet now. No music or laughter, just nervous whispers.

One male teacher Mr Okafor stood up.

“I’ll go look for him. We can't keep staying here. It's not safe”

He turned toward Seraphina's aunt.

“Ma, please which direction did he go?”

She calmly pointed ahead without hesitation.

“That way.”

Mr. Okafor sighed.

“I’ll be back.”

Then stepped down from the bus and disappeared into the bushes.

They waited and waited. No sign of the driver or Mr Okafor.

One female teacher stood up, trying to sound calm. Though fear had already entered her voice.

“Everybody relax. They probably lost their way.”

Nobody looked convinced.

At the back, a girl began breathing nervously.

“What if something happened?”

Another snapped quickly...

“Stop saying nonsense!”

Outside, the road looked strange. No birds, no insects.

Even the trees looked still.. Like the whole forest was holding its breath.

Simdi slowly looked outside the window.

Something about the silence felt unnatural.

Then suddenly, the bushes moved slightly, like someone had passed through them.

Her breath caught. She leaned closer, but saw nothing.

At the front, One female teacher turned to Seraphina's aunty. The teacher already looked Frustrated.

“Madam…”

“Are you sure we’re even close?”

The woman sat calmly.

Hands folded and unbothered.

“Very close.”

That same strange calm voice. No panic or concern, as if disappearing people meant nothing.

The teacher frowned harder.

“Then why is nobody back? There is supposed to be houses ahead where they can get water”

The woman turned slowly and smiled for the first time.

“Some roads take longer than expected.”

Something about the answer made everybody uncomfortable.

Then suddenly, there was a loud scream. Everybody jumped.

One student stood pointing outside.

Terrified.

“Someone is there!”

Panic instantly spread. Students rushed to the windows, looking and searching.

Far near the bushes, someone stood, facing away from them.

“Driver!” somebody shouted.

Relief spread immediately.

Students sighed.

“Thank God!”

One teacher quickly stood.

“Hey!”

No response.

The figure didn’t move and didn’t turn.

It Just stood there, watching the forest.

Then very slowly, the figure walked into the bushes.

and disappeared....

Story Title: "THE RED MOON MISSION" 🩸🌑

EPISODE 2 :

The next morning, Simdi barely slept. Her eyes looked tired & heavy.
Her mind replayed the strange text message over and over again.

“Sweet dreams, Simdi ”

How?

How did the new girl get her number?

And that strange moon reflection on her screen…

She shook her head.

“No. Maybe I’m overthinking.”

But deep down, She knew something wasn’t right.

Inside Royal Crest Secondary School, the school compound buzzed with noise as usual. Students in blue striped uniforms flooded the hallways.

Some argued over previous night football, others rushed to class before assembly.

Simdi walked quietly through the gate, trying not to think too much and trying not to think about her.

But immediately she entered the classroom, she froze.

Seraphina was already there, earlier than everyone else. Sitting quietly and reading a book.

The morning sunlight touched her face softly. She looked peaceful and normal.

Too normal.

Then.......

As if she sensed Simdi watching, Seraphina slowly looked up and smiled.

“Good morning, Simdi.”

Simdi forced herself to respond.

“Morning.”

Then quickly sat down, trying to avoid eye contact.

But before she could settle, Seraphina leaned slightly closer. Still smiling.

“Did you sleep well? I just hope your dreams weren't too scary..”

Simdi’s fingers tightened instantly. Her chest rose.

“Why do you ask?” She said anxiously

Seraphina blinked innocently.

“No reason”

Simdi’s breath caught, she slowly turned.

Their eyes met.

Seraphina smiled, like she knew exactly what she was doing.

But before Simdi could speak, the bell rang loudly. Students rushed outside and assembly began.

Weeks passed, and somehow, Seraphina became impossible to ignore.

Everybody loved her. Teachers, students, senior prefects. Even the school cleaners smiled whenever she greeted them.

During morning assembly, she began giving short motivational speeches and strangely, everybody listened. Even stubborn students.

One Monday morning, she stood confidently in front of hundreds of students. Microphone in hand...Her voice calm. Wise beyond her age.

“Greatness begins with discipline. You cannot become extraordinary by doing ordinary things.” She said

Students clapped loudly, teachers nodded proudly. The principal herself smiled.

“Brilliant girl,” she whispered to another teacher.

Meanwhile, Simdi stood in line, Uneasy and watching.

Something about Seraphina felt too perfect. Nobody could be this loved this quickly.

Nobody.

Yet somehow, she had become everyone’s favorite in barely one month.

Later that afternoon during Biology class, their teacher suddenly asked a difficult question.

Silence.

Nobody answered.

Then, Seraphina calmly raised her hand and answered perfectly. Even adding details that are not in their textbook.

The teacher stared, she was so impressed.

“Wonderful!”

The class clapped. Obi, the fat sleepy boy at the back, shook his head.

“Omo, this girl na fire.”

Everyone laughed. Even Simdi almost smiled.

Strange things kept happening...Little things, uncomfortable things.

One afternoon, Simdi entered the empty classroom to pick up her forgotten notebook.

She paused as she saw someone inside.

Seraphina.

Standing near the window, talking softly, like someone else was there.

But, nobody stood near her.

Simdi frowned, slowly stepping closer. Then she heard Seraphina whispering.

“Soon.”

She Paused and then continued.

“Everything is almost ready.”

Another pause.

Then, a soft smile crossed her face.

“I won't disappoint the moon master.”

Simdi froze. Her stomach dropped.

"The Moon?.. Again?" Simdi thought

Before she could hear more, Seraphina suddenly turned.

Their eyes met. Then Seraphina smiled.

“Oh…You scared me.”

Simdi quickly looked away.

“Sorry.”

"Do you always love to eavesdrop? Seraphina said, still smiling.

This made Simdi more nervous.
"I'm sorry, I only came to pick my notebook"

Her heart pounded.

Seraphina still smiling at her..

"Well, I was rehearsing for our church drama"

Simdi quickly nodded her head, she grabbed her notebook. Her heart still pounding as she rushed out.

That evening at home, rain poured outside. Thunder rumbled softly. Simdi sat beside her mother, she looked distracted and troubled.

Finally, she spoke.

“Mummy…”

Her mother looked up from cutting vegetables.

Simdi hesitated, then quietly said..

“What if somebody is pretending to be good?”

Her mother frowned.

“What do you mean?”

“Like…”

Simdi struggled for words.

“What if everybody likes someone…but deep down, that person isn’t nice or normal?”

Her mother chuckled lightly.

“This sounds like one of those scary films you watch.”

Simdi shook her head.
“I’m serious mum. I just feel something is not right with that girl ”

Her mother stopped.

Looked at her properly this time.

“The same girl again?”

Simdi nodded slowly.

Her mother sighed.

“Listen, I know that sometimes God warns us through our feelings, but don’t accuse anybody when you are not sure if your feelings are right.”

“Just pray for wisdom.”

Simdi nodded.

But somehow, her heart still refused to rest.

The next day, something happened. Something that changed everything.

During lunch break, Seraphina walked into the principal’s office. She closed the door and smiled.

"Seraphina how are you?" The principal asked in the most friendly tone

"I'm fine Ma"

"So what brings you to my office" The principal asked

“Ma…”

“I think this school deserves something special.”

The principal adjusted her glasses. She asked with curiosity..

“Something special?”

Seraphina smiled wider.

“An excursion.”

Story Title : "THE RED MOON MISSION" 🩸🌑
Episode 1

The night was unusually quiet. Too quiet.

No sound of crickets, no movement...Just silence.

The kind of silence that made the skin crawl.
A cold wind swept through the thick forest and somewhere deep inside the darkness, someone was crying.

Softly.

Fearfully.

Sixteen years old Simdi stood frozen behind a giant tree, breathing heavily. Her pajamas clung to her skin from sweat.

Her heart pounded violently against her chest.

"How did I even get here?" She mumured.

Moments ago, she had been sleeping peacefully in her room, but now, she was inside a forest...A terrifying forest she had never seen before.

The trees were too tall, the air smelled strange and something about the place felt wrong.. very wrong

Then she saw them.

A group of women standing in a circle.

Their bodies covered in dark flowing wrappers, their hair wild. Their faces strange.

Not fully human.

Dark smoke twisted around them like shadows.

Simdi quickly bent down, her breathing stopped....At the center of the women stood a young girl.

Beautiful, about 15 or 16 years, Fair-skinned with Long dark hair.

Quiet....Still.

The girl looked calm and not afraid.

Too calm.

As though she belonged there.

Simdi narrowed her eyes as she listened..

One of the women suddenly spoke, her voice sounded rough, Like dry leaves scratching together:

“The Red Moon approaches.”

The others nodded slowly.

The woman's eyes glowed faintly red as she continues:

“Your first mission has come.”

The young girl lowered her head respectfully.

“You must not fail,” The woman's voice echoed.

“The celebration is near and the Full Moon Mission must be completed.”

Simdi swallowed hard.

"Mission?"

"What mission?"

She slowly leaned closer, trying to hear.

Branches scratched against her nightwear.

One of the women suddenly paused...slowly turning her head toward Simdi’s direction.

Simdi’s eyes widened.

Her breathing stopped.

The woman sniffed the air..then smiled... A terrifying smile.

“There is a being nearby…” The woman said

Simdi covered her mouth instantly, her body trembled violently.

The young girl standing in the midst of the women slowly turned.

Their eyes almost met.

And for a second, simdi felt cold.

Very cold.

Like death itself had looked at her.

Then a loud scream echoed through the forest.

Simdi gasped and sat up immediately.

Sweat covered her body, her chest rose violently.

The room was dark.

Her fan spun quietly above her, her breath shaky.
“Jesus…”
She touched her chest.

“What kind of dream was that?”

Her bedroom door suddenly opened, her mother peeped inside.

“Simdi? Why are you shouting?”

Simdi looked up, still breathing hard.

“Mummy… I had the strangest dream.”

Her mother walked in.

“Another nightmare?”

Simdi nodded slowly.

“There were these women inside a forest and one strange girl…”

Her mother sighed softly.

“Pray and forget it. Dreams are dreams.”

Simdi nodded.

But somehow…This one felt different.

Too real.

The next morning, students flooded the compound of Royal Crest Secondary School. A huge school in one of the biggest communities in the city.

Students laughed.

Some chased each others, while others revised for tests.

Teachers walked around carrying files.

Inside SS2B, noise was everywhere.

“Guy, you copy chemistry assignment?”

“Abeg leave me!”

“Who is staying for the 3:00 maths extra lesson?”

Everyone was busy doing one or two.

Simdi sat quietly, still thinking about the dream.

Still disturbed.

Suddenly, the classroom door opened.

Their head teacher entered and beside her, was a girl.

Beautiful.

Calm.

Elegant.

Long dark hair and Bright smile.

The class immediately became quiet.

The teacher smiled and said:

“Good morning, class.. how are you all today?.”

Simdi casually looked up and froze...

Her heartbeat stopped.

No....No....No.

It couldn't be.

The same face...The same girl.

The girl from the forest.

The girl from her dream.

The teacher smiled and turned to the new girl..
“Introduce yourself.”

The girl smiled warmly, softly & beautifully.

“Hi everyone…”
“My name is Seraphina.”

The boys immediately straightened.

Some girls whispered.

“She fine o…”

“Omo…”

But Simdi couldn't breathe.

Her fingers trembled.

Her heart pounded.

The classroom suddenly felt alive again, whispers filled the air.

Girls adjusted themselves, staring curiously at the beautiful transfer student standing beside the head teacher.

Her skin glowed softly beneath the classroom light.
And her smile was so calm.

Almost too calm.

The head teacher adjusted her glasses.

“Students, this is your new classmate. Her name is Seraphina.”

She smiled proudly.

“She just transferred from a private academy. I expect everyone to make her feel welcome.”

Immediately.....

Hands shot up.

“Ma, she can sit near me!” one boy shouted. The whole class burst into laughter.

But Simdi?

Simdi wasn’t laughing.

Her hands slowly tightened around her desk. Her throat suddenly felt dry.

"No…

"It cannot be her...Maybe they just look alike."

She swallowed hard.

Trying to calm herself.

After all…

The girl in her dream who stood among those strange women in darkness, doesn't look this innocent.

This girl right here, looked normal, beautiful, soft-spoken and cheerful.

"You’re overthinking, Simdi" she told herself.

The teacher looked around.

“Okay, who has space?”

Almost immediately...
“Me ma!”
“Here ma!"
The classroom suddenly became noisy.

The teacher smiled.
“Hmm…”
Her eyes landed on Simdi.

“Simdi, there’s an empty seat beside you, right?”

Simdi’s heart skipped...Her head slowly lifted.

No.

No no no.

Before she could even protest, the teacher said to the new girl:

“Seraphina, you can sit beside Simdi.”

The class murmured. Some girls looked jealous.

One boy muttered quietly:
“Lucky Simdi.”

Seraphina smiled politely.
“Thank you, ma.”

She picked up her bag and walked calmly toward Simdi. Every step she took made Simdi strangely uncomfortable.

A cold feeling settled in her stomach.

Seraphina reached the seat, then smiled warmly.
“Hi.”
Her voice was soft and friendly.
“I’m Seraphina.”

Simdi forced a smile.
“Simdi.”

“Nice to meet you,” Seraphina said.

Something about the way she said it made Simdi uneasy...Like she meant something deeper.

Before Simdi could think too much, class began.

Teachers loved Seraphina almost instantly.

During English class, she answered difficult questions effortlessly. Even the teacher looked impressed.

“Excellent!” Mrs. Ahmed exclaimed.

“Very intelligent girl.”

During Government class, she corrected a topic politely.

The teacher laughed.
“Ah-ah! You want to collect my job?”

The whole class laughed.

By lunch break, everybody already liked her. Girls surrounded her. Boys offered snacks.

Even senior Ss3 students waved at her.
It was like she had always belonged there.

Only Simdi still felt unsettled... That same strange feeling, like her spirit refused to rest.

At lunch, Seraphina sat beside her, smiling.

“You’re very quiet.”

Simdi shrugged.
“I guess.”

Seraphina tilted her head.
“Do you always avoid people?”

Something about the question made Simdi uncomfortable.

“No…”

“You just seem like you don’t like me.”

Simdi forced a smile.
“It’s not that.”

Seraphina leaned slightly closer.

Her smile never leaving her face.

“Then why do you look afraid of me?”

Simdi froze... A chill ran down her spine.

Before she could answer, The bell rang loudly. Students rushed back inside.

Simdi stood immediately.

“I need to go.”

And walked away hurriedly.

That evening at home, simdi sat quietly in the kitchen while her mother cooked. Her mother looked at her.

“What’s wrong with you today?”

Simdi hesitated, then sighed.

“Mummy…”
“There’s this new girl in school...and I don’t know why…”

She paused, struggling to explain.

“Her spirit irritates mine.”

Her mother stopped stirring and slowly turned.

“What?”

Simdi lowered her voice.

“I know it sounds weird…”
“But every time she comes near me…I just feel uncomfortable.”

Her mother frowned slightly.

“Did she offend you?”

“No.”

“Then maybe you’re judging her too quickly.”

Simdi shook her head.
“No mummy…”

She looked troubled.... Very troubled.

“Something about her feels… wrong.”

That night, as Simdi prepared to sleep, her phone vibrated.

Unknown Number...

She frowned and slowly opened the message.

Her heart nearly stopped.

“Hi.. it's Seraphina. Sweet dreams, Simdi ”

No number saved.....Just that message.

Then another one entered.
“See you tomorrow.”

Simdi sat upright...Cold fear rising inside her.

She never gave Seraphina her number. How did she get it?

Then suddenly, her phone screen glitched.

And for one second…She could swear she saw a moon reflection on the black screen.

Then it disappeared. Or was it her mind playing games with her
