Love ❤️, Money 💰, or Business 📈?

I thought I already knew my answer until I watched On Different Grounds.

I had the opportunity to attend the premiere, and honestly, this movie was more than I expected.

It had me laughing one moment, emotional the next, and then came a plot twist that completely shifted everything I thought the story was building towards.

What stood out most wasn’t just the romance or drama; it was how the movie forces you to think about real-life decisions when love, ambition, and financial success are all on the table.

I was fully locked in from start to finish, and even after it ended, I was still thinking about it.

That’s when you know a movie did its job.

Living Luxury on a Budget 🍽️

Tried this new spot in UNILAG recently “Item 7” Pickup only 👀

Item 7 is mostly known for their shawarma, which goes for about ₦4,000+, and the rice with big chicken was also around ₦4,000+ after VAT and service charges.

At first, the shawarma seemed like the obvious choice, but going for the rice and chicken turned out to be worth it 😭🔥

The chicken was actually BIG, well-seasoned, and the portion was really satisfying.

The rice was tasty too, and the whole experience gave that soft life vibe without completely emptying your account balance 😂

Is it cheap student food? I don’t know.

But for the quality, portion size, ambience, and presentation, it honestly feels worth trying once in a while.

Definitely not an everyday survival spot 😭 but if you want to “live luxury on a budget” in UNILAG, Item 7 fits the vibe.

Before anyone speaks, a space has already said something.

What the Space Says

My documentary entry for the iREP/Ecobank Smartphone Filmmaking Competition, under the theme “Ecobank Building the African Identity Through Arts and Culture,” explores how Ecobank expresses African identity through art, design, and cultural presence.

Day 2 at the EcoBank iREP Smartphone Filmmaking Workshop built strongly on the foundation from Day 1.

Today’s sessions went deeper into documentary storytelling, with key focus areas including Documentary Research, News & Ethical Considerations by Jahman Oladejo

Storytelling Development & Platforms for Showcase** by Hadiza Ibrahim.

These sessions emphasized the importance of accuracy, responsibility, and structure in telling real human stories.

We also explored Dramatic Elements & Setup with Joke Silva, which highlighted how emotion, structure, and intentional framing can shape compelling narratives.

In addition, I visit the art gallery this actually expanded my perspective on visual storytelling and how artistic expression can influence the way stories are seen and interpreted.

I appreciate the insightful sessions from the facilitators and the continued support from the organizers and Ecobank team.

Each session is sharpening my understanding of documentary filmmaking, and I’m looking forward to bringing everything together.
