Content creator Peller weighed in on the viral UBA graduate trainee saga, where a new hire addressed Chairman Tony Elumelu by his first name. He pointed out the double standard, stating that if a non-graduate like him had done the same, critics would have immediately blamed it on a lack of education.
"If someone like us did what that girl did to Tony Elumelu, people would quickly say, 'This is why education is important.' Meanwhile, she's a graduate," Peller remarked. He added that regardless of wealth or status, basic respect for age alone should have guided her approach, noting that someone without a degree in that position would have faced relentless online backlash targeting their schooling, career, and character.
