Right now, seeing these young faces, sadness presses hard against my chest. Taken from home, stripped of hopes, no kid ought to face that loss. Schools should hold them instead: voices rising, joy spreading, trust building day by day. Fear has no place in childhood, yet it lingers where safety should stand. Urgency drives this truth, the nation’s tomorrow walks on small feet today. When a society refuses to shield its youngest, something vital breaks inside. Protecting them isn’t optional, it simply is, like breath, like dawn.
Every time a child goes missing, parents carry a weight that never lifts. Nights stretch long, filled with worry instead of rest. Their eyes stay wet, hearts heavy beyond words. Efforts must grow stronger, sharper, more relentless, not tomorrow, but today. Those in charge have tools, resources, people watching closely. What matters now is movement, not speeches. Each boy and girl taken holds a future already shaped by something greater than fear. Safety should find them before anything else does.
Today marks a day for kids everywhere across Nigeria and beyond. Not just that, but moms and dads too, the ones giving their all without pause. When things get tough, it is their steady presence that holds everything together. Where pain runs deep, may peace find its way into parents’ hearts. For each young one out there: stay safe, be seen, feel loved. And to those raising them: your quiet strength doesn’t go unnoticed. Let homes fill again with laughter where silence once sat. If someone is lost, let roads lead them back, gently. This moment belongs to little hands, and to those who hold them through storms.
May joy return to every home, and may every missing child come back safely.
