The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, made a surprise visit to Lobi Stars Football Club at their training camp in McCarthy Stadium, Makurdi today, Thursday 23rd, 2023.

Accompanied by the Chairman of the club, Dr. Philip Nongu and some top dignitaries, Governor Alia reaffirmed his administrationโ€™s commitment to the club's success and assured the players of unwavering support.

Addressing the team, he said, โ€œIโ€™ve come to see your faces. This administration means well. When the season started, the road was rough, but now you have people who can take you to the promised land.โ€

He promised to expedite the club's return to their home ground, adding, โ€œThis is just the first phase of Lobi Stars. I assure you that going forward, you will have a new narrative. You will rise to greater heights.โ€

The clubโ€™s Technical Adviser, Daniel Amokachi, expressed gratitude for the governorโ€™s visit, pledging the teamโ€™s maximum cooperation.

Captain Solomon Kwambe, speaking on behalf of the players, promised that the team would deliver and make the governor and the state proud.

As Lobi Stars prepare for their second stanza opener against Heartland FC in Owerri this weekend, the governorโ€™s visit has reignited optimism within the team.
