No one has the finances to do everything. Not even the government. I clearly graduated as a bricklayer from my late father in those days before going to the secondary school, the skill of how to build a house and how to mode blocks were very useful when I needed them most in life.

At the University of Ife as a student, I used to write the Nigerian Tribune law page and that of the Guardian every Wednesday to sustain my studies. I started organizing workshops at Master's Level before I commenced the business journey.

Once upon a time, a young boy came to me asking for assistance for his Master Degree's school fees and I asked him who was the owner of the car he came with, he said he bought it sometimes ago. Why do you invest in a waste rather than knowledge simply to make people to be happy with you that you are trying.

You can't sit in the shade tomorrow if you don't plant a tree today. Many youth link their inability to win in life to finance challenges unknown to them that great things never come from the comfort zone. Many young youth prefer enjoyment now and suffer later than suffer now and enjoy later because it is crystal clear that any youth that doesn't plant trea now will be under hatch sun tomorrow.

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR in his usual way in dishing out practical words of wisdom to the youth of Ondo South said yesterday " let me be honest with you to be successful is not a democratic adventure and you should learn how to stand alone on many things."

Many of his peers would make jest and dislike him when he was saving money gained from bricklaying to help his studies instead of wasting it in beer parlour then , he continued like that in his university days, instead of using money gained from Nigeria Tribune and Guardian every Wednesday to flex girl friends, he used it to support his academics.

You may not be born with a silver spoon like Senator Jimoh Ibrahim CFR but you can steal it by investing in knowledge like him and keep all unnecessary luxuries constant till you steal it. He said yesterday" why do you invest in a waste rather than knowledge simply to make people happy ? The dislike for you will be high once you stay focused but in the end, people will come back to you as you will be in high demand "

Nothing changes until your mind changes. The greatest tragedy in life is not death ( May Buhari and Awujale Souls rest in peace)but life without a purpose. Most people are unaware of the potentials locked up inside of them, if you unlock the potential in you without doubt, you will move from ordinary to extraordinary. How many people predicted that Chelsea will defeat PSG with three goals but the team unlocked the potentials in them and proved the world wrong.

Our God is not a purposeless God that will just throw some clay around the place, breathe into it and create people just because he's bored, he has plans for everybody but our inner potential and capacity cannot develop without our willingness and conscious participation.

Once in a seminar I attended, the speaker said “Focus is more important than intelligence” which I had a bias mind against, I decided to give it a second thought when I got home, I now noticed that intelligent people are doing well in their professions but ruling by people that are focused in life.

Dear Ondo South Youth, let us give more importance to diversification and not to give importance to one business or career with prayer and grace of God, we shall surely succeed.

As we are praying, let us be focused, look at Peller, he started small but he improved in it and focused. O' level dropped out interviewed twenty Master degree holders because he needs a Camera holder ( intelligent people)

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR motivated some of Ondo South Youth in Dejavu hotel, Akure in year 2022, where he discussed inspiration behind dropping more than 130 million pounds in Union bank many years ago, If you were in the seminar, you will believe SJI can see future without being a prophet.

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday passed the bill for the establishment of the Bitumen Development Commission of Nigeria, in a major move aimed at diversifying the country’s economy and harnessing its vast natural resources. The bill was sponsored by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South Senatorial District.

Titled “A Bill for an Act to Establish the Bitumen Development Commission of Nigeria and Provide a Legal Framework for the Promotion of Research, Study, Investment, Exploration, Production, Exportation, Development, and Utilization of Locally Sourced Bitumen in Nigeria, and for Related Matters, 2025 (SB.07)”, the legislation was passed after a detailed consideration of the report presented by Senator Diket Plang, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Solid Minerals Development.

The bill scaled third reading after undergoing clause-by-clause scrutiny in the Committee of the Whole, during which all 27 clauses, including the interpretation section, short title, schedule, and explanatory memorandum, were unanimously adopted by lawmakers.

In supporting the bill, Senator Mametai Mokuno of Oron-Tsenetora Senatorial District hailed the legislation as key to driving Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda.

“This bill is in line with the government’s renewed commitment to diversify our monolithic oil-dependent economy. Nigeria has significant untapped bitumen reserves valued between $13 billion and $42 billion. If properly harnessed, these reserves will generate revenue, boost foreign reserves, create jobs, and enhance national infrastructure,” Mokuno stated.

The sponsor of the bill, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, has long championed the development of Nigeria’s bitumen sector, especially given the strategic importance of the resource to his home state of Ondo, which is known to hold some of the largest bitumen deposits in Africa.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio praised the sponsor and the entire Senate for their commitment, and expressed confidence that the Bitumen Development Commission would play a transformative role in the country’s economic future.

“Let me thank Senator Jimoh Ibrahim for sponsoring this landmark bill and the Senate Committee on Solid Minerals Development for their diligent work. This Commission will reduce pressure on our foreign exchange, promote domestic industrialization, and unlock massive employment opportunities,” Akpabio said.
