Celebrate UNILAG VC

University of Lagos holds Public Presentation of the Book, “Walking the Vision” in Honour of Professor Rahamnon A. Bello, FAEng

As part of activities to commemorate the exit of Professor Rahamon A. Bello, FAEng, as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, some scholars in the University have put together a book titled “Walking the Vision” highlighting the landmark activities and major accomplishments of his administration.

The official presentation and Book Launch is scheduled to hold on Monday, October 23, 2017 by 10:00 a.m. at the J.F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium.

Members of staff and the entire University community are all enjoined to attend the programme.

New Dates for POST UTME

NEW DATES FOR THE 2017/2018 POST UTME APTITUDE TEST

The University Management has rescheduled 2017/2018 Post UTME Aptitude Test to hold from Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th October, 2017.

Candidates should generate new examination passes from Thursday 28th September, 2017 and come to the test venue with two coloured copies of the examination passes.

GSM phones and other personal belongings are not allowed in the test venues.

UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS 2017/2018 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE

The University of Lagos online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2017/2018 Academic Year will commence from 31 st August – 15 th September, 2017 .

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

Candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2017/2018 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible for screening. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31 st October, 2017 are not eligible and need not apply.
Candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME Screening will not be considered for admission.

SCREENING FEE – N2,000
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Eligible candidates should log on to University of Lagos website https://unilag.edu.ng . Then, take the following steps:

Click on Admissions

Click on Post-UTME Application

Login with UTME number as
username and surname in lowercase as password

Generate and print payment advice

Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or pay online

Return to the University portal, upload passport photograph and complete the application form

Print Post-UTME Examination Pass

POST-UTME TEST

Post-UTME aptitude test will hold between 18 th and 22 nd September, 2017 .

2016/2017 ONLINE GENERATION OF EXAMINATION DOCKETS FOR THE 2ND SEMESTER EXAMINATION

The 2016/2017 second semester examinations are scheduled to commence on Monday, August 28, 2017. Generation of examination dockets will begin on Monday, August 7, 2017 and end on Monday, August 21, 2017.

Printed (coloured) examination dockets are to be presented to course advisers or Heads of Department for endorsement.

It has come to the notice of the University authorities that a text message is being circulated which advertised that the on-line registration for the 2017/2018 Screening Exercise for admission will commence from Wednesday, August 9th to Wednesday, August 31st 2017.

This is a scam. The message did not emanate from the University of Lagos.

Members of the public are advised to ignore this message as the University of Lagos has not commenced the 2017/2018 Admission Exercise.

The University website is the only authentic source of information on admissions.

The Counselling Unit of Student Affairs Division in conjunction with Executives of Faculties & Halls of Residence, Unilag Anti Aids Club, Nigerian Red Cross Society, Unilag Chapter, Pinnacle Medical Services, Su***de Research and Prevention Initiative from LUTH and some selected organizations will organize campus wide campaign/rally/talk against depression and su***de.

The Rally is scheduled to hold as follows:

Take-off Point: Frontage of Student Affairs Division
Places of visit: Faculties and Halls of Residence

The exercise aims at exposing students to the meaning of su***de and its effects on victim’s family and the society, correcting the impression that committing su***de is a permanent solution to life challenges, exposing students to techniques for time management, stress management and how to handle life’s challenges and to intimate students on the dangers of suicidal thoughts.
