Happy birthday to veteran Nigerian actress Clarion Chukwura, who is celebrating her birthday today, July 24.

Clarion Chukwura was born on July 24, 1964, in Lagos State, Even though she was born in Lagos, her family is originally from Anambra State in the eastern part of Nigeria. She grew up as the only daughter in a family with three brothers.

When she was just 11 years old, her father di£d, and this changed her life. She moved from Lagos to stay with different relatives in Aba, Onitsha, and later Ibadan. She continued her education in these places.

Clarion went to Queen of the Rosary College in Onitsha for her secondary school. After that, she studied Acting and Speech at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

She began acting in the late 1970s and became very popular in the 1980s. Her big break came in 1984 when she acted in a TV series called “Mirror in the Sun”. She was also the first Nigerian actress to win the Best Actress award at the FESPACO film festival in Burkina Faso in 1982.

Clarion Chukwura has also worked as a peace ambassador for the United Nations and is known for helping others through charity work.

She is the mother of Clarence Peters, a well-known music video director in Nigeria. She had him with music legend Sir Shina Peters.

Today, fans across Nigeria and beyond are celebrating Clarion for her talent, strength, and many years of great acting. We wish her long life, good health, and more success. 🎉
