It's Thoughtful thought day 📌 🫤 🔥🤔
There was a time in my life when I realised that I could not afford to stop praying.
Not because everything was going well, but because there were moments when prayer was the only place where I could breathe again. I have learnt that there are battles you cannot talk your way out of, situations you cannot explain to everyone, and nights when you smile in public while only God knows what is happening in the quietness of your heart.
And in those moments, I found myself returning to the place of prayer. Again and again.
I discovered something beautiful there: PRAYER GIVES ME A DIFFERENT KIND OF CONFIDENCE. Not the confidence that says, “I know exactly how this will end,” but the confidence that says, “I KNOW WHO HOLDS THE END.”
So I pray. When I am happy, I pray. When I am afraid, I pray. When I am confused, I pray. When I have no answers, I pray. When I am grateful, I pray. When I am tired, I pray. Even when I don't know what to say, I still stay in the presence of God.
PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.
Life has taught me that whatever you do, **DO NOT DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM GOD BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH.** Don't allow pain to make you run away from the One who can heal you. Don't allow disappointment to make you forget every time God came through for you. Don't allow delay to make you forget His faithfulness.
HE HAS DONE IT BEFORE. HE WILL DO IT AGAIN.
That is what I call ARAGBE NI ILÉ AYÉ. Securing your peace while you are still here on earth.
And I have come to understand that PRAYER IS THE CURRENCY. You buy peace with prayer. You buy strength with prayer. You buy courage with prayer. You buy endurance with prayer.
Sometimes you enter your prayer closet broken, confused and overwhelmed, but you come out knowing, “I may not know what God is doing, but I know God.”
For me, that is enough.
I will keep praying. I will keep trusting. I will keep showing up in the presence of God.
..and because I have seen Him make a way where there seemed to be none.
