I Remember when I went for MTN project fame audition some 17-16 years ago thereabout, my uncle who was part of the organizers warned me about my singing capabilities, ‘Are you sure you know how to sing? Because, if you don’t know how to sing, you will automatically become content for the show,’ he asked. I told him not to worry that I am not bad at singing but might not be a fantastic singer.
I went ahead for the auditions, Maestro Uncle Ben himself auditioned me that day, he gave me a ‘YES’ for the next stage. However, I couldn’t attend the next audition because it was on a Sunday morning and I had to be in church.
But I still wonder how people who aren’t even average musically still go for auditions, especially shows that will be televised... is it confidence or determination? What’s really the driving force?
