🚨 JUST IN: TROOPS INTERCEPT SUSPECTED TERRORIST LOGISTICS SUPPLIERS IN YOBE — HUGE CACHE OF MOTORCYCLE PARTS RECOVERED
A major blow to terrorist logistics networks! Nigerian troops have reportedly arrested two suspected suppliers allegedly moving a large consignment of motorcycle spare parts to Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists operating around the Yunusari–Mobbar axis.
According to the military, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2, Operation HADIN KAI, intercepted the consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam LGA, Yobe State, on Tuesday, September 8.
Recovered items reportedly include large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, chains, sprockets, brake components, piston kits, clutch plates, CDI units, coils, rectifiers and other spare parts.
Also recovered were 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android phones, among other items.
The suspects and recovered materials have been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation.
The military says the operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist supply networks and deny insurgents the logistics needed to sustain their activities.
