Growing up, moral lessons from fables played a lot of roles in who I have become up there in my head.

Sometimes when I talk with people and I say what I think about certain issues, they just marvel at how simplistic my outlook to life is😂🤌🏽

It’s crazy but in this idealistic bubble of a life I envision, I truly believe that if you are a good person with a kind heart and genuine intentions, you can never truly lose.

That if you always choose to be kind, and never expect anything in return, and not let this world turn you into a cold person; being yourself, believing in yourself, and trusting in the timing of your life… no pressure whatsoever, that in the end, everything will work out the way it is meant to.

A lot of personal experiences and happenings around make me want to doubt the process at times but I always find myself crawling back to this childish place I find peaceful. It just has to make sense in the end, it has to🥹

Dear Diary,

A few days ago, I decided to be brave and get to know someone new.

I caught myself asking a couple of weird questions😓. Questions like

"Have you eaten?"

"Hope you slept well?"

"What's your favorite color?"

"What's your favorite food?"

Very normal questions, right?

Please explain why I have been cringing at myself ever since🤧

Every time I remember the conversation, I just stare into space for a few seconds, then this cold shiver runs through my body and I suddenly feel cold😑😪

I believe these are the same questions everybody asks when they're trying to get to know someone new. Nothing is wrong with them.

But somehow, I don’t sleep at night anymore. I’m busy randomly remembering those messages at 2 a.m. and quietly suffering from embarrassment... because what is this nonsense I am doing😭 sir Kelvin see what FMA is making me do?😑

It’s just 5days into this now and ike agwugom. My chest don dey pain me oh😑

I resigned from my workplace yesterday, and from the way everybody has been moving between yesterday and today wey my expectations dey very high, e no dey look like say this people wan give me farewell gift oh😭

Since last week, na only,

“Ah, doc we will miss you so much oh,”

“Don’t forget us oh, be coming to visit,” and “Who go disturb us like you again?” I dey collect since🤧

My question is, all this missing they want to miss me, why don’t they monetize it? Or translate it into one thoughtful gift?🫣🤌🏽

The painful part is that this same thing happened at my former workplace. I worked, I suffered, I slaved and when I was leaving, I collected plenty emotional speeches... and went home empty-handed. Now history is repeating itself😭

Why is this always happening to me?

Na because I be good person ba? Maybe if I start misbehaving in my workplaces, maybe farewell gifts go begin dey appear🥲

As for Mama Ibeji, I don’t trust all this extra petting and pampering she’s doing. Something is not adding up 🤨. The woman is not even an Arsenal fan. So why is she being extra nice now wey my club don lose?

How am I supposed to believe that an Arsenal rival is showing me this much love with no hidden agenda? 😭😂

The thing that even hurts me the most is that my future two strong twin boys have already abandoned me😭. These boys never even enter this world finish, but they’ve already chosen food over loyalty to the club 😭

You should have seen me the day I went to a barbershop and saw a TV inside a mirror😂😭😭

There was this other time I once went for a locum night shift at a hospital. It was one of those cold nights when all you want is to finish seeing patients and find somewhere to sleep.

So after I was done downstairs, I went upstairs to the call room to crash for a few hours. As I opened the door, I was greeted by a ceiling fan spinning at full speed! In that cold weather? The room was already cold enough.

I quickly looked for the regulator to reduce the speed before the fan blew me back downstairs. But the regulator on the wall didn’t have any k**b for turning like most fans around. I was lost😂😭

Then I saw something on the wall that looked like a remote control hanging on a hook, I thought it was for the AC obviously. Out of curiosity, I picked the remote and started pressing buttons like a village man. To my surprise, the fan responded.

That's when I realized the ceiling fan was remote-controlled!

It was my first time seeing that type of ceiling fan😂🤌🏽

Now, because that was my first time seeing a remote-controlled ceiling fan, some people would have me believe I've exposed myself as a local champion😂

Abeg, make we rest with this elitist nonsense😂 We all discover new things at different times. I even like people who show excitement at seeing something new. Not seeing a particular gadget before doesn't mean someone is backward.

The fan was remote-controlled. I was impressed. Life moved on😌
