A Wake-Up Call to Microfinance Banks and Foreign Investors
What a shocking display of exploitation by some microfinance banks and foreign investors, who have disguised their intentions as support for the Nigeria people, while in truth, they enslave them financially.
Any genuine and God-fearing microfinance institution that truly aims to support the nation and its citizens must come with a dual purpose: to make a fair profit and to empower its clients. Unfortunately, the reality is quite the opposite. Regulatory bodies, despite all their education, seem blind to the manipulation. They focus solely on loan recovery without implementing initiatives that truly empower the people—initiatives that could help entrepreneurs and citizens stabilize, grow, and repay loans with ease and dignity.
This message is a call to mercy and reason: Financial aid should not be limited to giving out loans and demanding repayment. Real support must include empowerment—equipping Nigerians with the tools, training, and opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the economy.
If, however, you continue to enforce policies that amount to financial slavery under the guise of legal agreements, be warned: the people will not remain silent forever. The "SWORD of Nigeria"—FOWO ABU SE ABU LALEJO—awaits those who enrich themselves at the cost of national suffering.
We pray for God's forgiveness over this nation, as nearly 99% of citizens are struggling with debt due to the severe economic hardships they face. But we also pray that the wisdom of our leaders, and the spirit of justice, will rise to confront and correct these injustices.
This is also one of the Problems that will never make us rise if we don't work on it.
Sincerely,
Sheikh Mukadam Habeebullah Olukolu-ZB Abolade (Amirul-Aoliyah - Baba Awori)
