Bicycle is trending because Nigeria's Olympic cyclist Ese Ukpeseraye had to borrow a bicycle from Team Germany, because the federation didn't get her a bicycle even though FG provided ₦12billion to ensure team Nigeria lacked nothing.
The Bicycle cost £18,499 (₦37.12million).
Sources close to Ese are hinting that, Ese was frustrated by Nigerian officials, she was not welcomed into team Nigeria. Also, while she was training, the coach was uninterested, after three hours of training the coach failed to provide water for Ese.
So, perhaps the absence of the bicycle wasn't an "accident". According to testimonies of certain people present in Paris.
FG approved an excess of ₦12billion for the Paris outing. With ₦9billion for Olympics and ₦3billion for Paralympics. Out of the ₦9billion, ₦2.5billion was set aside to cater for all athlete's needs for optimal performance.
Now, Nigerians are asking the Federation only one question...
