From that very first picture… you might just see an old photo. But when I look at it, I see a debt of gratitude to God that words can never fully capture. 😭🙌🏾
I still remember the day we walked into that studio. If my memory serves me right, it was Uncle Josiah’s Studio around Okefia in Osogbo. I remember looking in the mirror thinking I was wearing the absolute best I had.
The truth? That shirt and waist jacket were actually borrowed from . I matched them with the only corduroy trousers I owned. My sisters were standing next to me, wearing the absolute best clothes they possessed at the time. We didn't have much, but we had hope.
I’m sharing this because someone needs to hear this today: Irrespective of how you were born… do not stay there.
Don't let your starting point define your destination. Strive to get better, keep pushing, and let the Mercy of God single you out for greatness.
Look at us now. We are still a work in progress, and we certainly haven’t arrived yet- but God knows we are a universe away from where we started all those years ago.
Aaaannnnnu Ni o……..! 🔥🙏🏾 (It is purely by His Mercy!)
