Address of Governor Siminalayi Fubara At A Meeting with Simplified Stakeholders on Saturday, June 28, 2025 I Ojemba Daily Reports

Protocols

I had a meeting with you on the 29th of May, 2025, here, and in that meeting, I did inform you that we are in a peace process. I know — and not just being in the process — I said it's ongoing.

I called for this meeting to address you formally, for you to have the first-hand information. It's not the one you are reading in the paper, it's not the one you are seeing on social media or wherever — you are now hearing from me.

We have fought. I think, in my own assessment and in the assessment of anyone here who is genuine in this struggle, you will know that we have done what we need to do. At this point, if you want to be truthful to yourself, the only solution is peace. I did say that there's no price that is too big for peace — I meant it, and I'm still ready to follow it to the end.

Nobody can take away the role the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, played — that's the truth. Yes, we might have our differences, but nobody here will say he doesn't know the role he played. Nobody can wish away the risk he took. Yes, at a point we had our differences and if today there's need for us to settle, please, anyone who genuinely believes in me should understand that it's the right thing to do.

So, my dear fathers, brothers and sisters, no matter the level of peace that a mediator will arrange, the true peace is the one where both of you are sitting down together to say, “Yes, this is what we want.”

At this point, I've met him and we have spoken. You can't take away the fact that he’s hurt — he's a human being. I also have my own share of pains too.

If we believe that we are in one family and our interest is to support the President, then what is the issue? If you say you are with us and you believe in me, this is the time for us to show it.

Because it's not even about me as a person — it's about the overall interest of the state. In the midst of this crisis between me and the FCT Minister, look at the projects we've initiated. Many have been abandoned. We know the progress we would have recorded and the areas that would have been developed. So, there's need for this peace — that's the truth.

I can't abandon you people — that's one thing I need to say here. This is the time for me to prove to you that I care for you, and I make my commitment here that whichever way it goes, I will not abandon anybody. But the sacrifice that we are going to make for us to achieve this total peace is going to be heavy, and I want everybody to prepare for it.

Without a total reconciliation — which, by the grace of God, the both of us have gotten to — there's no way we can make progress in this state. There's no way the President can come in to save the situation. So, I want to appeal to everyone — I have accepted that we must accept this peace, no matter how it looks, no matter how you feel, we must accept it.

In my place, there's a fish they call Atabala — you call it Tilapia. The native Tilapia doesn't grow big. The mother Tilapia used to tell the kids that if you want to grow up to my own size, hide your head inside the mud. Every one of us should understand that at this time, we've done our best, and what we need now is this peace so that we can grow. I know it's difficult and heavy, but that's the true situation.

~H.E Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS.

Wahala don tie Gele!

President of Chad, Mahamat Deby has ordered all French troops out of the country with immediate effect, in his words:

“Burkina Faso is my brother, Any meat stolen with dirty fingers from a fresh pot of soup will get the whole pot of soup sour.

You can go now!”

Igbo-Nigerian Soldier "Frank Onubah" Brutally Killed By Boko Haram Terrorist In The Northern Nigeria.

The brutal killing of Igbo-Nigerian soldier Frank Onubah by Boko Haram terrorists in Northern Nigeria raises serious questions about the deployment of soldiers in the country. Why are Easterners, "Igbo soldiers" , often deployed to the most dangerous zones, while others are spared? Meanwhile, soldiers from other regions are deployed to the East, where they allegedly engage in human rights abuses, including burning houses, ra**ng women, arresting, and killing Igbo youths.

The injustice faced by Igbo soldiers, like Frank Onubah, brutally killed by Boko Haram, and the alleged human rights abuses against Igbo civilians by soldiers from other regions, is alarming. This situation serves as a stark reminder: it's time for Igbo youths to reconsider joining the Nigeria Army. The risks are real, and the system's fairness is questionable. Prioritize safety and explore alternative opportunities

Tensions are boiling over in West Africa as North Korea deploys 500 troops to Burkina Faso, joining Chinese and Russian military forces in a bold show of power.

In a chilling message to the Nigerian government, North Korea warned: “If a single North Korean soldier is harmed, Abuja will pay the price — 200 Nigerian troops will be eliminated in retaliation.”

IGBO PEOPLE, THINK HOME!!

And the Lagos State Government Demolished Chido's Dream

Chido relocated to Lagos from Onitsha two decades ago.

His dad was a lace fabric mogul in Onitsha, and he wanted to replicate the same success in Lagos, the city famous for its cultural melting point and its diversity.

He came here with the little capital he could afford at the time and then pitched his tent at Idumota Market in Lagos Island, where fabrics of all kinds are sold.

Brick by brick, mortal by mortal, he was able to grow as the God of wealth favored him.

He got married here as well, and all his kids were born in Lagos.

He just built his first house in the same estate where I live in Lagos and moved into the property three years ago.

A remarkable accomplishment for a man who came here with virtually nothing but his dream

Business was moving fine, and one day he had this wave length, a master stroke that he believed would change the fortunes of his business.

Why not build a plaza that will serve as an additional revenue stream for his business?

An agent introduced him to a family from Lagos State willing to lease their land for such a venture on Lagos Island.

A sum of 30 million naira was agreed upon between Chido and the family that owns the land, and a lease of 15 years was also agreed upon with an option to renew.

With the agreement in place, the necessary approvals and permissions from the Lagos State Government were sought and given.

Work commenced on site sometime last year. The idea was to build a 90-stores plaza, a befitting modern plaza that could rival Tayo Amusan's plazas.

Work was completed on site last month; traders have paid for all the shops, and the property was penciled down to be commissioned this Saturday, and that is when the drama started.

Unknown to Chido and his wife, Amaka Okoli-Chidozie, LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) has been sending notices of outstanding payments to them to pay up.

Even though they paid all the necessary dues before they began their buildings, they did not know that another payment was waiting for them to clear.

They only knew about the payment last week on Monday, and on Tuesday, the sum of 4.2 million naira was paid by Chido, and a receipt was instantly issued to him.

But more drama is on the way for the 42-year-old businessman.

It was on a Saturday night when his phone rang, and he picked it up. The caller on the line was calling to inform him whether he was aware that LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) was coming to demolish his new plaza.

He rushed to the site only to meet bulldozers, armed police, and men of LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) pulling down his hard work.

A project that cost him over 200 million naira to erect.

When he tried to call the GM of the agency, the man was not picking up his calls.

In that state of confusion, he was dialing the number of anyone he believed could help him, but help was not forthcoming; rather, he was told that the governor gave approval for his building to be demolished.

It was a sad Chido who went to meet the GM of the agency that demolished his plaza the next day, Monday, to understand what his offense was.

He was told that the building was demolished because he did not pay the necessary building regulatory fees.

I paid, and I have my receipts to show what he told the man.

Seeing that Chido had his receipt of payment, the Oga quizzed Chido to understand who cleared and accepted his payment.

He mentioned one Mr. Tunde.

But Tunde was with us the day we deliberated on how to demolish your building, the GM said.

He didn't even bring up the subject of your payment.

He was even with our men when the building was brought down.

How come?

What kind of man is this? The GM wondered.

So a call was placed by the GM to Mr. Tunde to understand why he kept him in the dark when Chido had paid his fee.

Tunde on the other line started stammering.

You know

I'm sorry, sir( Ana ede ebe Nile).

The deed has been done

and cannot be reversed.

Chido's 200 million naira dream has been demolished by the Lagos State government.

I spoke to multiple traders in Lagos Island before writing this to understand what Chido’s crime was; the general consensus is that Chido's only crime appears to be that he is an Igbo man who chose to invest in Lagos.

Unfortunately, there won't be any consequences for those who intentionally choose to demolish a commercial building, even if the owner did nothing wrong.

For the Tunde of this world, life moves on.

OldBeing Alkebulan David Hundeyin replies Akeem Badamasi
Who called him sh*me less through his daughter

Dear Tara Badamasi,

You probably won't read this until you're older. You will probably be even older before you understand it, but I hope you will someday understand why I am writing you this letter.

By now, you probably know that you come from a place known as 'Nigeria.' If it still exists when you are reading this, then you know a little bit about what it means to be associated with it. You probably don't like the way other people treat you or talk about you simply because of where you come from.

I was once just like you. Actually, millions of us were just like you. One day we were born, the next day we were dealing with all kinds of problems simply because of where we were born or who gave birth to us. I'm sure you find it as unfair as we did.

Of course, we did not sit on our hands and do nothing about it. Some of us did everything in our power to change the situation. If there is still Google or ChatGPT whenever you're reading this, you can search "Nigeria 2023 Election" and see what happened.

You can also search my name and see the work I did to inform Nigerians and the world about the danger of allowing a drug criminal force his way into power and stay there. If Amazon still exists, you can search for my second book 'Breaking Point' and read all about it.

After reading everything, if you're horrified that what happened took place in spite of all our efforts, then there is something you should know. It didn't happen because we failed, or because we didn't try hard enough. It happened because Nigeria in 2023 unfortunately had several people who didn't believe that they were fully human.

These people were fully committed to preserving Nigeria exactly the way it was, not because it was good for them, but because they thought that they might someday become like the drug criminal who became president.

There was no evidence that they would ever amount to anything other than the miserable nobodies that they were, but - as I'm sure you know by now - Nigerians as they existed in my time, were strangely, intensely, delusionally, optimistic people.

Your father Akeem, was unfortunately one of them.

I'm not writing this to tell you that your dad was a terrible person. He may or may not have been a terrible person from my perspective, but that is not important. You may know him only as a loving father who hopefully takes care of you and treats you well.

What is important is that - regardless of who you know him as - he was a deeply unwise person who personally contributed to whatever problems you think of whenever someone says the word "Nigeria" around you. If you have ever heard him complain about "Nigeria" or talk about its problems as though he were a victim, it is important for you to know that he was a perpetrator and an accomplice.

Your father Akeem Badamasi was not a victim. He was one of the people who destroyed the place you know as 'Nigeria.'

I'm not writing this so you should start to hate him. He is still your father - by all accounts he loves you very much. I am writing this so that someday when you are at the age your father is now in September 2023, you can properly assess your situation and make better choices than he did.

He might have been an unwise, delusional turkey who voted for Christmas, but you have the opportunity to make better choices and be better than him. You can do it. Every human child has the capacity to transcend and rise above the mental limitations their parents imposed on themselves.

Tara, it might be too late for your father, for me and our generation over here in 2023, but it is not too late for you. You have the blank slate of the future ahead of you and the pencil is in your hand. Only you and your contemporaries can determine what 'Nigeria' - or whatever replaces it - will be known for or associated with.

Your father might have failed you, but you don't have to fail yourself.

I'm wishing you all the best from over here in September 2023.

Rooting for you!

David Hundeyin

23/08/2023

BREAKING:

India has become the first country to successfully land on the South Pole of the moon, making it their third successful moon landing. India is the biggest exporter of rice in the world. They are doing everything right since Prime Minister Modi came to power.

He plays all sides, in fact, he has no side. He is his own man, unlike Tinubu. Modi went to Washington some weeks ago, now he is in South Africa for the BRICS summit. India is projected to become the largest economy in 2075. But this is a story for another day.

South Africa became the leader in Africa. Positioning themselves as the “moral police” for the continent & the AU, Cyril Ramaphosa assumed a pivotal role in Africa. He carries the moral burden for the rest of the continent, he spoke passionately at the ongoing 15th BRICS SUMMIT.

He said & I quote; “Africa has Lithium, Vanadium, Cobalt, Platinum, Nickel, Palladium, Copper, Radium. Africa made it clear that investors should process the minerals in Africa. So that Africa will not export rock & sand, but finished products.”

Cyril Ramaphosa welcomed China’s Xi Jinping, Brazil's Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, & India's Shri Narendra Modi. BRICS is geopolitics at its best. The alliance include Brazil, Russia, India, China & South Africa.

BRICS is in response to Russia-Ukraine War, it is a counter economic bloc against the imperialism of the West, & foreign isolation of Russia by the West. The bloc represents a quarter of World Economy, a fifth of World Trade, & almost a half of World Population.

More than 20 countries applied to join the BRICS, including Saudi Arabia. But where is Nigeria in all of these Global Events? When did we become a spectator in geopolitics & in Africa Affairs? HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Nigeria failed to take advantage of Russia-Ukraine War in the geopolitics of Gas Supply to Europe. What matters in “interests.” Are we going to miss this BRICS opportunity as well? When there is conflict, I see opportunities. Who is Nigeria’s current Minister for Foreign Affairs?

Who is your current Minister for Trade & Investments? Is he/she paying attention to the ever shifting-cum-dynamic world of Trade & Investments? Is Nigeria planning to join the BRICS, or we are still superglued to the West, the World Bank, & the IMF?

At the heart of BRICS camaraderie is trade in local currencies among member states. Nigeria has the Crisis of Currency Devaluation & an almost empty Foreign Reserve. Would you look towards trading with others with your Naira? Can you import your PMS from Brazil with the Naira?

What is Nigeria'a strategic interests abroad or "Foreign Policy?" Do not tell me it is ECOWAS. That west African bloc has lost touch with reality. The ECOWAS is not the force it once was. Muhammadu Buhari abandoned Nigeria's image abroad. You either market Nigeria or you don't!

Nigeria is no more a leader in the continent, & it vexes me. Obasanjo would have pulled Nigeria into the BRICS before Cyril Ramaphosa, you would have the BRINC, not the BRICS. OBJ would have milked the Russia-Ukraine Conflict & Decoupling.

At the BRINCS, Nigeria would have been the most conspicuous in the room. Read my pinned tweet, I am looking for a president that will match OBJ's Records, perhaps better it. WHAT IS NIGERIA'S INTERESTS ABROAD? How will you relate with the BRICS, America, & the rest of the World?
