Since Regina got married to her husband, she has never called me, not even once. But shôckingly, yesterday, I saw her missed call allegedly.

At first, I was surprised and confûsed. I said to myself, why would she be calling me ?’ I didn’t call her back immediately.

When I got home and finally checked my phone properly, I saw the trending news that she had a fịɠht with her husband.

Please, let me make this clear, I’ve moved on with my life allegedly. I’m not available anymore. So, Regina, stop calling me.

REGINA’s DAD- “I WARNED THEM, BUT THEY CALLED ME AN ENEMY OF PROGRESS”
Regina Daniels’ father, Jude Ojegwu, has finally spoken about his daughter’s troubled marriage, revealing that both Regina and her mother once turned against him when he tried to stop the union.

According to him, he advised his daughter not to marry billionaire Ned Nwoko, but his warning was ignored.

“I knew from the start this marriage would bring problems,” he said. “Even I, in my late fifties, cannot imagine marrying a 20-year-old. I felt ashamed watching my own 18-year-old child get married to a man older than me. I told her there’s more to life than wealth, but her mother, Rita, called me an enemy of progress and even wished me death. So I stepped back and allowed her to follow her happiness.”

Ojegwu admitted he didn’t attend the wedding out of anger and disappointment. “Now the same marriage they defended so fiercely is falling apart. I just pray she finds peace,” he added.

The 55-year-old father maintains he never supported the marriage, insisting he saw the warning signs from the beginning.

If you are a Cross Riverian and remembers the days where Carnival Carnival Calabar and Obudu Cattle Ranch were intermittently advertised during premier league games on SuperSport and on International TV Stations, you would appreciate the effort of the Prince Otu led administration towards returning us back to those glory days.

Given the State of our State in 2023, all some of us advocated for was a Governor that would RECOVER our Calabar and RESTORE our long lost dignity as a State. A Governor that would take us back to the days where Calabar is the Cleanest State Capital. The days where indiscriminate dumping of waste was both legally and morally a taboo. The days where fun lovers troop into the UJ Esuene Stadium irrespective of distance and time to watch their favorite Musical artist perform without fear of being kidnapped. A Calabar where 11pm in Marian seems like 2pm because the streets lights were not turning off anytime soon. A Calabar that plays host to National and International events. A Calabar that welcomes everybody home, be it for Leisure or for pleasure.

I dare say that this Governor has been deliberately intentional and the evidences are there for everybody to see. Has our Carnival improved and gradually returning to its original idea? The answer is YES! How is he achieving this? By deliberately appointing those who were there from the beginning when it all started to head different clusters. Just a few days ago, the Governor secured the hosting right for the 6th African Sub-Sovereign Government Network (AFSNET) Investment Conference scheduled for 2026. Again, there are strong indications that the State would also be hosting this years edition of the Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA). What this means is that, for the first time in a very long while, UJ Esuene stadium is getting back on the news.
