You can't learn how to swim without getting wet.

If you want to get good at something,

Just do it.

Just start it NOW, as unprepared as you may be.

Because the truth is, you’ll never be prepared.

Imagine how much faster you'd learn to swim if you just got in the pool.

Into the water "unprepared" but willing to try.

Compare that method to the nerds outside of the pool "getting ready".

The nerds sitting in classrooms with diagrams of how to swim.

Safety meetings and YEARS spent outside of a pool to "prepare" for the swimming.

Imagine it.

Imagine how dumb those people would look.

Standing in their swim trunks, never having touched a drop of water.

Telling you how well they will swim once they graduate.

Compare that to who you COULD be.

The man who just gets in the pool with an instructor, gets wet and starts moving.

And you can do that NOW.

TODAY.

THE FEAR OF A STRANGER

There is something I want us to note. Every stranger that reaches out to us online or offline is for one of the 4 seasons.

1. To add value to your life.
2. To add value to other people through you.
3. For you to add value to his/her life. or
4. To steal value from you

The fear of the last one has made a lot of people miss out on the first 3 which are the most important thing in life

Smart and forward-thinking individuals, first find out the primary mission of every stranger that comes their way, Before ACCEPTING or REJECTING them.

HOW people connect with you shouldn't come first, but WHY they are connecting with you. We are living in a highly connected age, the main question is their mission ( WHY)

One of the greatest assets in the 21st century is SOCIAL CAPITAL. Those who know the value of it and also how to convert them to FINANCIAL CAPITAL will never be hostile to strangers.

What are you doing with the 2000 followers you have on LinkedIn?

What are you doing with the 2000 friends you have on LinkedIn?

What are you doing with the 1000 followers you have on Instagram and other social media platforms?

They are social capitals. The day you learn how to convert some to financial capital, you will never be hostile to strangers.
