Heavenly Father,
Today, I lift my heart in deep gratitude and humble adoration. For 63 years, you have been my keeper, my strength, my song, and my salvation. Through every joy and every trial, your hand has upheld me. Your mercy has covered my missteps, and Your grace has carried me farther than I ever could have imagined.

Thank You, Lord, for the breath in my lungs, the love in my life, and the purpose in my days. Thank You for every lesson, every blessing, and every moment wrapped in Your divine presence. I exalt You, O God, for You have been faithful through the seasons—when I soared and when I stumbled, You remained unchanging.

As I step into this new year of life, I rededicate my journey to You. Let my days reflect Your glory, my words speak Your truth, and my life bear witness to Your everlasting love. Be magnified in me, Lord—today and always.

*OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR BIODUN OYEBANJI ON THE PERSISTENT WATER CRISIS IN IKUN-EKITI, HOST COMMUNITY OF ERO DAM*

I would like to commend you for the remarkable strides you have made since assuming office as the Executive Governor of Ekiti State. Your leadership has ushered in significant development, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to the progress and welfare of the people.

May God continue to grant you wisdom and strength to sustain these achievements, which, we believe, will further solidify the confidence of the people as you seek re-election in 2026.

However, I wish to draw your attention to some critical issues affecting the people of Ikun-Ekiti, my hometown.

*1. The Urgent Need for Water Supply in Ikun-Ekiti*

For the past two years, residents of Ikun-Ekiti have suffered from severe water scarcity for reasons unknown to the community. It is deeply concerning that despite being the host town of the Ero Dam—one of the largest water supply sources in the state—Ikun-Ekiti has not had access to a single drop of water for an extended period. Instead of being a blessing, the dam has, regrettably, not served its immediate host community. This has led to severe hardship, forcing residents to rely on rivers or purchase water at high costs for their daily needs.

To alleviate this challenge, we humbly request that the state government establish a dedicated water reservoir within Ikun-Ekiti that will be regularly supplied by the Ero Dam. This would provide sustainable relief to the community and fulfill the dam’s intended purpose of providing accessible water to the people.

*2. Strengthening the Ikun-Ekiti Dairy Farm for Economic Growth*

Additionally, I wish to highlight the importance of the Ikun-Ekiti Dairy Farm, which operates in partnership with Promasidor, a Lagos-based company, supplying fresh cow milk for dairy production.

While we appreciate your recent visit to Promasidor’s facility in Oshodi, Lagos, we strongly urge you to visit the dairy farm in Ikun-Ekiti as well. A firsthand assessment of its operations would enable you to identify ways in which the state government can further support and enhance its productivity. With proper supervision and investment, the farm has the potential to contribute significantly to job creation, food security, and the overall economic advancement of Ekiti State.

Furthermore, ensuring the effective management of both the **Ero Dam** and the **Ikun Dairy Farm** will not only improve the standard of living for residents but also drive economic development by positioning Ekiti State as a hub for agricultural and industrial growth.

As a listening governor and a father to all in Ekiti State, we trust that you will accord these matters the urgent attention they deserve.
