I just withdrew my children from a so-called private school. Why? Because the school is failing our children in every way that matters — not because of fees, not because of distance, but because of a total lack of professional standards.

Listen:
• Teachers were calling small children “names” and threatening them with fear — “I go put fire under una bumbum” kind talk. That is unacceptable.
• My 3-year-old told me a primary pupil touched her inappropriately — the school dismissed the report like small matter. That is child neglect.
• The principal moved Primary 4 pupil straight to JSS1 — una hear am? I asked, is that legal? He asked me, “Is it your child?” —
