Every disappointment from the past months will become a testimony, and every tear will be replaced with joy.

After a long, tiring day, an elderly woman sat quietly on her small front porch with a warm cup of tea. The evening breeze gently swayed the trees, while birds sang their final songs before sunset.

A little girl from the neighborhood walked by and asked, “Grandma, why do you always smile even when you’re alone?”

The old woman smiled warmly and replied, “Because peace doesn’t come from having everything. It comes from being thankful for what you already have.”

The little girl sat beside her, and together they watched the golden sky slowly fade into the stars. No phones. No noise. Just laughter, quiet conversations, and the beauty of the moment.

That evening, the little girl learned that the happiest memories are often the simplest ones.

Life moves fast, but your heart doesn’t have to. Sometimes, slowing down is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

THE WOMAN WHO NEVER FORGOT HER BEGINNING

When Mama Esther finally became successful, people expected her to change.

She now owned a big shop in town, employed workers, drove a nice car, and had customers coming from different places to buy from her.

But every morning, before opening her shop, Mama Esther would sweep the front of her store herself.

One day, a young worker saw her and said,
“Mama, why are you sweeping? You can ask any of us to do it. You are the boss now.”

Mama Esther smiled and replied,
“My daughter, before this shop became big, I used to sell groundnuts by the roadside. I swept that roadside every morning because I believed one day my life would change. I will never become too big to do the little things that helped me survive.”

The young worker became quiet.

Mama Esther continued,
“Never look down on anyone. The person you see struggling today may be the one God will use to open a door for you tomorrow. And never be ashamed of your beginning, because it is part of your story.”

Years later, that same young worker became successful too. But she never forgot Mama Esther’s words.

She treated people with respect. She greeted everyone. She helped others quietly. And whenever people praised her, she would simply say:

“God lifted me, so I must use my hands to lift others.”

Humility does not make you small. It makes your greatness shine brighter.

May success never make us forget where God brought us from. May we remain kind, respectful, and humble no matter how far we go. Amen.

May God remember you for good. May help locate you when you least expect it. May your tears turn into testimonies, your waiting turn into celebration, and your prayers turn into answers.

This day, you will not be forgotten. You will not be stranded. You will not be put to shame. The mercy of God will go ahead of you and make every crooked path straight.
