I Am pleased to write you following your triumph at the polls but before I continue, let Me quickly congratulate Joe and Kamala for the roles they have played since taking office nearly four years ago.

Since I Am not an harbinger of war and its ilk, it is therefore needless for Me to remind you of the need to abhor anything that's capable of starting one.

However, I need to turn your attention with alacrity to the rot Richard Nixon has caused Nigeria in particular and Africa in general since removing gold as the backup for the US dollars in 1971 and the creation of petrodollars and the subsequent relegation of it into the down limit of determinants for a currency's performance in the international market and placing non-oil-export-dollars at the upper limits.

REVIEW

A forth night ago, the Mediterranean Knights of Libya came visiting as tradition demanded as parts of the hurdles to determine which country will go through in the group to the 2025 African Cup of Nations, and I joined a host of Nigerian fans to see the game at the Godswill Akpabio stadium and interestingly, a gentleman once heralded as the Prince of Monaco in some sections of the media was also in the stadium to see the game and We were all ecstatic about the outcome although it was tagged a slander win but it was enough to fetch the Super Eagles all the three points.

I took up a role on AKBC TV and Radio as a pundit after not having a lot of opportunities to carve out a career on the pitch and after the curtains fell on the career of Victor Ikpeba, he also followed suit and joined Monday Night football crew on Supersport as a pundit and when next We meet We will discuss Rodri's Ballon D' Or which is FIFA's way of saying that I would have made a world best player as a defensive midfielder which I couldn't agree more with them.

It's important that We reward every other player in their various roles in making football the beautiful game it is and not just strikers and goal scorers.

FRIDAY MORNING AT PASSION FM

Last Friday, I bundled Myself to the morning bit of Passion FM Sports programme with team lead: Isaac Ekpe, Trent, and new addition: Princess --- who is in for her industrial attachment, and We discussed many issues within half an hour although the most prized individual honour on the African Continent rented the air.

At the risk of taking a swipe at CAF and their shortcomings, I reemphasize the need for CAF to spell out the determinants for the coveted prize and not shift the goalposts in the middle of the game to avert controversies that are capable of stripping the awards its prestige that is already hanging by the thread.

After the programme, I toured the facility that houses the live radio studio and the ADBN TV studio as well as recording studios, conference room, office spaces and many more. I belched satisfaction in the investment done by the Senate President, His Excellency, distinguished senator Godswill Obot Akpabio GCON, and I Am optimistic that as Governor, I will be able to get the over 12 radio stations and about three TV stations in the state into the full stream of the competitive digital satellite TV space by investing massively in space science.

Again, I Am hopeful that there will be plenty of time at My disposal to get down to the studio from time to time, to engage with sports enthusiasts like Theophilus Udo, Bright James and Odudu Obot.

Lastly, I Am grateful to the management staff of the outfit for the warm reception I got when I went there, especially, from My former boss on Focus on AM 45 on AKBC TV, Mr Emmanuel Ayong, who shared a joke or two with Me in his office as I ended My tour of the facility.

MY SUNDAY IN REVIEW

Michael Oliver was the VAR and very instrumental in critical moments as Liverpool plucked all the three points at stake in one of the nine games decided already in week eight of the current campaign with Crystal Palace game coming tomorrow.

SUNDAY AT GEM LODGE

Yesterday, football faithfuls, particularly, those of the household of Chelsea Football Club , converged at Gem Lodge, Ewet Housing Estate, to see the London derby betwixt West Londoners --- Chelsea and South Londoners --- Crystal Palace.

I joined the game at halftime where the host had raced into a first half lead courtesy of Nickolas Jackson's goal but couldn't hold on as the visitors found their way back into the game midway through the second period.

Although bitterly disappointed, Chelsea fans and their counterparts from the Arsenal end, still brokered a deal for a friendly game that will enable them demonstrate their football artistry and perhaps, exchange jerseys at the end of the novelty.

Ubong Essien and Victor Preachers intimated Mark Esset who is a parliamentarian at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, of their plans and implored him to be a part of the showdown.

Esset immediately oblique their request and pledged to be a part of the encounter.

I personally look forward to seeing any Arsenal game going forward many thanks to the invite extended to Me by Ubong Essien.
