Moderated by Angel Nduka-Nwosu, our editorial assistant, this sixth episode will feature Ndubuisi Martins, a Nigerian poet, literary critic and publisher of Peaquills Review. He was longlisted for 2022 Poetry Prize of the Pan African Writers Association.

The book is also Eghosa Imasuen's return to long form writing, fourteen years after the release of his best-selling novel, Fine Boys.

The Challengers tells the story of the founding of the billion-naira company, VFD Group. Ahead of the book launch in Lagos, the author visited the VFD Group office to present the book to the subjects of the story for the first time.

On 13 July 2026, The Challengers will be publicly presented for the first time in Nigeria at Radisson Blu Anchorage, Victoria Island, Lagos. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who provided the book's foreword, will be the special guest of honour.
