One-way slab vs Two-way slab...let’s put this into consideration, guys. 👷🏽‍♂️🏗️

In a one-way slab, the load is primarily transferred in the shorter span direction, so the main reinforcement is provided along the shorter span.

In a two-way slab, the slab distributes the load in both directions, so reinforcement is provided in both directions to carry the load effectively.
That’s why proper identification of the slab type is important before fixing your reinforcement.
Study the reinforcement pattern in the picture and tell me: Is this a one-way or two-way slab? 👇🏽

🚪 Door functionality is just as important as its appearance.

Don’t just position a door because it looks good on the drawing. Think about how it will function in real life.

Before fixing the door position, consider:
• The direction the door will swing
• Whether it will obstruct furniture or fittings
• Clearance from walls and other doors
• Movement and accessibility within the room
• Whether it will create inconvenience when opened

A beautiful door in the wrong position can become a daily frustration.

Good building design is not just about aesthetics—it’s about functionality. 🏗️

This is a dry-stack interlocking block. Unlike conventional hollow blocks, the blocks have specially shaped profiles that mechanically interlock with one another. Mortar can still be used, but the joint thickness is significantly reduced compared with conventional blockwork. Alternatively, where a structural system is required, the blockwork can be combined with reinforced concrete columns and beams, with the blocks serving primarily as infill rather than the main load-bearing element…and it comes in lightweight…
