Chemistry can make your heart race, but compatibility is what keeps a relationship standing.

You can laugh together, feel intense attraction, have amazing conversations, and still be fundamentally incompatible. Chemistry creates sparks. Compatibility builds stability.

If your values clash, your life goals are different, your communication styles constantly hurt each other, or one person refuses to grow, love alone won't fix it. Passion cannot compensate for a lack of respect, trust, emotional maturity, or shared direction.

Many people mistake butterflies for certainty. They stay because the connection feels magical, even while the relationship is slowly draining them. A strong emotional pull is not proof that someone is right for you.

The healthiest relationships are not just built on attraction. They are built on mutual effort, shared values, emotional safety, and the ability to solve problems together.

Never let chemistry blind you to incompatibility. A relationship that constantly requires you to sacrifice your peace, your identity, or your future is not sustained by love—it's sustained by hope.

Choose the person you can build a life with, not just the person who gives you butterflies.

What makes this entire situation even more ironic is how much the tables have turned over the years. While May quietly rebuilt her life with dignity, grace, and smart branding, her influence has grown far beyond what many expected. She is now travelling across different countries, securing major endorsements, entering elite circles, and building a successful empire for herself, achievements Yul once probably envisioned for himself.

Meanwhile, Yul’s reputation in the entertainment industry continues to decline. Many brands and producers now avoid being linked to him because public image matters greatly in business. That is the harsh reality of celebrity culture: once public trust and admiration disappear, restoring them becomes extremely difficult.

Let me understand this clearly… so Yul Edochie has now appeared on another podcast making allegations against May in an attempt to justify cheating on her? 😲😂

Interesting. Because this is the same man who once came online emotionally begging May not to leave him. The same Yul who openly admitted that his life would fall apart without her and that he was “nothing” without her. The same person who at one point described Judy as a mistake he struggled to walk away from. Nigerians did not imagine those statements; they were all said publicly, and the internet always remembers.

At this stage, every new interview feels less like damage control and more like self-destruction. You would think someone around him would advise him to embrace silence, accountability, and self-reflection instead of constantly attacking a woman many Nigerians now sympathize with deeply.

Ironically, the more negatively he speaks about May, the stronger public support for her becomes. Whether right or wrong, that is simply where public opinion stands today. And if tomorrow’s podcast is yet another attempt to rewrite history, it may only push further the collapse of what was once one of Nollywood’s most admired images. Honestly, it is becoming increasingly embarrassing for the Edochie family, and one would expect them to step in and caution their son by now.

Sometimes, the greatest evidence of regret is watching the person you once undervalued succeed and flourish without you.

Yul Edochie, you are the only one responsible for the choices you made. You were the one who betrayed your marriage vows. You were the one who got another woman pregnant while still legally married. You were the one who allegedly kept your wife away during your accident because you were with another woman in a hotel instead of the hospital. You were the one dancing online barely weeks after losing your son. You were the one who launched a questionable real estate business, started a church, embraced traditional spiritual practices, and constantly moved from one controversial phase to another.

You were also the one who publicly claimed you had found someone “better” than May, yet years later, you still seem unable to let her go or stop talking about her. And you were the one who got married without the presence or support of your parents.

At some point, you need to stop deceiving yourself. Moving from one podcast interview to another will not solve anything. It’s time to genuinely move on and take responsibility for your own decisions. May is not the cause of your problems or setbacks.

And if you are planning to come online once again to throw accusations or negativity at May, just understand that people are prepared to respond and defend her.

If Yul and Judy truly want the constant criticism from Nigerians to end, they need to accept one difficult reality: the outrage didn’t appear out of thin air. People reacted to the hurt, embarrassment, and drama that played out publicly.

For years, Yul openly praised May as the woman who stood beside him through difficult times, the blessing God gave him, and someone he deeply respected. Many Nigerians admired their marriage because it reflected loyalty, friendship, and strong family values.

Then, out of nowhere, he publicly introduced another woman as his wife without showing empathy, sensitivity, or respect toward the woman he was legally married to, who reportedly discovered everything at the same time as the public. That moment sparked the emotional reaction from many people.

The problem was never simply about polygamy. Nigeria has countless polygamous families. What truly upset people was the public embarrassment, the emotional manipulation, the mockery, and the repeated attempts to pressure a hurt woman into accepting disrespect under the guise of “tradition.”

Rather than handling matters privately and with maturity, social media became a battleground. Allegations, insults, subtle digs, and unnecessary drama kept increasing. Then came the devastating loss of their son, and many Nigerians became even more emotionally invested while observing the behavior that followed online.

People naturally sympathized with May because many believed they were witnessing a woman being publicly disrespected while still trying to carry herself with grace.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth Yul and Judy need to understand:

You cannot constantly stir public emotions for attention and then suddenly ask for privacy once the backlash becomes too heavy to handle.

Celebrities depend on public support. The same people who watch your movies, support your businesses, and promote your brand can also turn away when they feel morally or emotionally disappointed.

And the internet hardly forgets.

If they sincerely want peace, healing, and a chance to repair their image, humility is necessary. Not pride. Not endless interviews. Not more subtle attacks or online performances.

A genuine apology would go a long way. Taking accountability would help too. Even better would be silence, maturity, and stepping away from social media drama. They should stop trying to force people to accept a relationship many still question morally and legally, especially with ongoing concerns surrounding Judy’s previous marriage to Obasi.

Truthfully, many Nigerians may never completely forgive them because some public wounds leave lasting scars. However, people usually respect individuals who show remorse instead of constantly presenting themselves as victims after causing pain to others.

This entire situation should also serve as a lesson to celebrities: never underestimate public opinion. Fame is temporary. The same audience that lifts you up today can easily move on tomorrow.

No matter how gifted or famous you are, once your image becomes strongly linked with chaos, disrespect, and emotional cruelty, brands, producers, and audiences naturally begin to distance themselves because perception influences business heavily.

And if Yul still refuses to apologize, then truly, na him sabi.

Period!
