OYO KIDNAPPINGS: CITIZENS TO PROTEST IN IBADAN, DEMAND IMMEDIATE RESCUE OF ABDUCTED PUPILS AND TEACHERS

Concerned residents, activists, and members of the public have called for a peaceful protest in Ibadan on Monday, June 1, to demand the immediate rescue and safe return of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State.

The protesters say the continuous wave of kidnappings and insecurity across Nigeria has become unacceptable, particularly the targeting of innocent children and educators.

The demonstration is scheduled to hold at Mokola Roundabout, Ibadan, by 8:00 AM, where participants will demand urgent action from the authorities and insist that the government fulfills its constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property.

According to organizers, the protest is a call against the normalization of abductions and the growing insecurity that has left many communities living in fear.

"We refuse to remain silent while our children are held captive. Every child deserves safety, education, and freedom. We demand their immediate rescue and return."

Members of the public have been urged to join the protest and amplify the demand for justice by sharing the information widely.

📍 Venue: Mokola Roundabout, Ibadan
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM, Monday, June 1
