There was a time I wanted everything fast —
Quick success, fast love, instant results.
But I’ve seen how rushing can lead you into the wrong hands, the wrong places, and even the wrong version of yourself.

These days, I value peace over pressure.
I don’t chase people, I don’t force timing.
If it’s meant for me, it will find me — in due time.

Because growth is quiet.
Healing is slow.
And the best things are never rushed.

High heels weren’t always about fashion or femininity.
In the beginning, they were worn by men — especially soldiers and nobles.
The heel helped them stay firm in stirrups while riding horses and showed off power and class.

It wasn’t until later that women adopted it, and eventually, it became a symbol of beauty, elegance, and sometimes pain. 😅

"Sometimes it’s not that life is hard — it’s that we’re trying to please too many people."

You do something for yourself, they say you’ve changed.
You say no for once, they call you selfish.
You take a break, they say you’re lazy.
But the truth is — if you keep living for people, you’ll forget how to live for yourself.

I’ve learned to disappoint others if it means not disappointing myself.
Because at the end of the day, it’s my peace that carries me — not their opinion.

"Power fades. Position ends. And life? It doesn’t last forever."

The death of our former president Muhammadu Buhari is a strong reminder that no matter how high we rise, we're all dust in the end.
He ruled. He had people kneel, people fear, people praise him.
But today, he's gone — and all that’s left is his name… and what he did with his time here.

Too many people chase power and money like it will save them from death.
They forget that greed never fills. Position doesn’t protect. And nobody knows tomorrow.

It’s not pride. It’s not mood swings. I’ve just learned that peace feels better than forcing conversations.
I’ve lost interest in explaining myself.
I no longer beg to be understood.

The people who get me, get me.
The ones who don’t, I quietly let go.
I’ve seen what happens when you overgive… so now, I give myself peace first.

"Nobody really checks on the strong ones."

We’re the ones people call when they’re down.
We listen, we advise, we show up — because that’s what we’re known for.
But when it’s our turn to cry, we cry in silence.
Not because we don’t want help… but because we’re not used to being asked, “Are you okay too?”

So we smile through tired eyes, laugh through heavy hearts, and keep going.
Not because it’s easy, but because we don’t know how to stop.

Check on your strong friends — they break too.

I’d call first. I’d text first. I’d make the effort because I didn’t want to lose anyone.
But after a while, I realized the people who truly care will never make you beg for attention.
So I stopped forcing connections. I stopped explaining my silence.
Now I keep my circle small, and my peace is louder than any friendship I lost.

Sometimes, peace comes when you finally stop chasing people.
