Yi Sun-sin was one of the greatest naval commanders in history. Born in Korea in 1545, he rose through the military ranks during a time of growing threats from Japan. When Japanese forces invaded Korea in 1592, Admiral Yi took command of a vastly outnumbered navy and achieved a series of astonishing victories. Using innovative tactics and his famous "turtle ships," he repeatedly defeated larger enemy fleets, disrupting supply lines and helping save his nation from conquest. Throughout his career, Yi Sun-sin won every naval battle he fought, a feat rarely matched in military history. Despite political rivalries and personal hardships, his unwavering dedication, courage, and strategic brilliance made him a national hero. Today, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest admirals the world has ever known.
